Marvin and I enjoyed seeing A Christmas Carol Saturday afternoon. On the way to Montgomery, we stopped in Birmingham to see our sweet grandbabies. That is always fun!!  Then back onto I 65 headed south. We arrived at the theater in time to enjoy some of the madrigal singers that were entertaining the guests in the lobby. The carolers were dressed in Dickens period dress and the harmony was just incredible...all acapella too!

We had incredible seats, practically on the stage. The sets, the acting and the atmosphere were perfection. It was good to step back in time and remember what Christmas is all about.  The people of Montgomery are very fortunate to have a park like the Winton Blount Cultural Center. In addition to the Shakespeare Festival, there is an art muscum and a lovely park for recreation.  Marvin and I both agreed it was worth the ride to go to see Dickens.
