Good Luck Laura

This week my niece, Laura, will be off to Louisville, Ky where she will participate in the FFA(Future Farmers of America) National Competition. Her category is the FFA Creed...she will be representing the state of Georgia. What a great opportunity to go and meet other FFA members from across America. When I was in high school only boys were in the FFA so it is good to see some girl farmers joining the ranks! Here is Laura on the farm....
I was noticing that there are quite a few girls on the FFA Float in the North Murray High Homecoming Parade.
And here is Laura with Lucy, the orphan calf, putting some of her farm skills to work!  We are pulling for our girl as she competes this week! Go Laura.

Arlene, what a sweet smile she has! The FFA is such a great activity/group. I don't know what the creed is though...

The creed is a speech Gina. It reflects the meaning of FFA. She has her first speech on Thursday.
