A Quiet Sunday at Home

I usually do not post on Sundays as we are off to church. But as Marvin recovers from knee surgery we are on a different schedule. No church until he can walk a bit better and with all the flu around, we decided we will avoid crowds as much as possible. We have both had flu shots but apparently that is no guarantee that you will not catch an atypical strain of the flu.  We have had six flu deaths here in Decatur since the first of the year, including several young people.  Just another reminder that we are not invincible.

The recovery is going well. Friday afternoon some of our friends brought us two casseroles. My next door neighbor brought over a peanut butter pie! Then yesterday, Charles and Nancy dropped by with donuts. Today another couple from Sunday School is picking up lunch and coming to eat with us! I may have to go on a strict diet after this month!! Marvin is tolerating the pain and continues to do his exercises every day. We will be heading to therapy tomorrow and hoping for a good report! Have a blessed day friends.

I'm happy to hear Marvin is progressing with his healing and therapy! It's so nice that your friends are all rallying 'round and bringing food. How nice to receive their love!!
