Thanksgiving Day

Another Thanksgiving Day has come and gone. I started off with the best intentions to get lots of pictures. I had my camera charged...took some photos pre guests then just lost steam as the day went along. Amelia and Charles and Nancy were running late so that is why there are no pix of them.( That is my story and I am sticking to it!)

So many wonderful Thanksgiving cards this year!! And my little solar turkey thanks to friend, Terry.

We used Marvin's grandmother's dishes for our dessert plates. Dinner plates were not much bigger than salad plates back in the 30s! Could there be a correlation to larger plates and larger waistlines?

Ben and Katy

Elliott wearing his Grimm bib!

Margaret enjoyed Aunt Nancy's mashed potatoes!!
Baylor and Uncle Charles! Note the bow in Uncle C's hair...he took Margaret's bow from her! She was not very happy about that. Uncle Charles is the uncle who likes to pick at you!!

Landon and Margaret have come up with a name for Baby Girl Grimm...Rainbow Cotton Candy Grimm.  Not sure Charles and Nancy will be using that one but it is fun.

We are still eating turkey at our house but we have managed to decorate for Christmas and now we are in Football mode with Georgia and Georgia Tech facing off this morning and Alabama and Auburn tonight! Go Tech and Roll Tide!!

I am usually decorating on the Saturday after Thanksgiving....not today. Just kind of chilling. Perhaps I'll tackle it tomorrow!

Love the photos and those dishes are really lovely.

That was a good game between Tech and GA today!

So happy you shared some pics from your special times together. Love those vintage dishes.
