Snow Men and a WINNER!

Tif at Bright on a Budget is the winner of the Wet-it Giveaway. Tif, if you will send  your snail mail address to agrimm55@hotmail.com, I will get it in the mail to you. Thanks for all the comments and come back on February the first for the February Giveaway.

January is always our coldest month in Alabama so it is appropriate to decorate with snowmen.

I did the cross stitch many hears ago but he is always a welcome site in January.  And the cold weather has shown up here with lows in the 20s at night. For us Southerners that is COLD.

My coffee bar features a big snow man who is guarding the hot chocolate pouches. We may be diving into the hot chocolate this week. I need to get some more paper plates and napkins for my coffee corner. Maybe some with snowflakes?

And did you all watch Downton Abbey last night? Marvin and I are both big fans and we were so glad to see the first episode. I am so glad that the Bates can rest easy with the arrest of the murderer of Mister Green.  It was a good way to start off the season. And poor Mrs Patmore, Mrs Hughes gave her quite the assignment. Marvin remarked that hadn't both women been married as they were addressed as Mrs. I reminded him that in those days, cooks and housekeepers were given the honorary title of Mrs.  It will be interesting to see what this last season holds for all our friends at DA.

Today is the last day of school vacation for Kendall and Landon. I think we will have a quiet day here at home and maybe we will order pizza for lunch as a treat.  Tomorrow is back to my normal routine and I am looking forward to it.

If you come home on furlough or to just visit, please enter and send me your addy stateside. Thanks for all the comments on my snowmen. I am working on an Easter project right now and I must say if there are any cross stitch designers out there who read my blog, please design some Easter cross stitch charts...something besides bunnies etc.

Joe and I were so happy to have Downton Abbey back for our Sunday evenings! We love it too. I agree that Mrs. Patmore had quite the task and I also thought it was kind of silly...but those were different times, weren't they?! It will be interesting to see how the writers bring it to a close for us. Sigh.

Arlene, it has been cold here too! Today there was a constant breeze that made things colder still. I love your snowmen! I had some out with my Christmas things but put them all away (too soon, I think!) Enjoy your hot cocoa!

Congrats to Tif and thanks to you for doing a giveaway.
I love snowmen too!
I just finished watched Downton and loved it. I'm sad that it's ending though. Thanks for clearing up the Mrs thing - I wondered too.

I am a huge fan of Downton Abbey too. And, loved that the Bates were cleared of that murder. What a way to start the final season. I wonder if each segment will include a 'finality' to some problem they have had. And, poor Mary... getting blackmailed, but then Papa came to the rescue. That Mary is always getting into trouble. BTW, love your snowmen.

I love that we all love Downton Abbey!! I hope many of the story lines will be resolved this year but one writer pointed out that not every thing can be cleared up because the characters lives continue to evolve. Doesn't he know they are just fictional?lol I have a feeling we will see some Downton Abbey specials in the future. And Julian Fellowes is writing an American series called The Golden Age, I believe. So if it is as good as Downton Abbey, I will be happy. The character who plays Lord Grantham says that when he read the last lines of the Christmas special his heart was full. So if Lord Grantham is happy with the ending, then I will be too I guess.

Yay! Thank you so much, friend! And love your snowmen. Kentucky is just now starting to get cold, which is surprising.
