Mothers Day Weekend

We had a pleasant weekend.  It started off with softball for Kendall. We also got a glimpse of her team picture.

That tall pretty girl in the back is our Kendall.

Meanwhile, Landon worked on a Birthday gift for Audrey.

A pink step stool with cupcakes on it. Because Audrey is our cupcake full of sugar.

Kendall and Landon gifted their mom with this...

This will be perfect for carrying snacks out to the pool this summer. As I said last week, Pineapples are everywhere it seems. I found these at Walmart at a great price. This would make a good teacher gift as well.

We had a super busy day at church as Marvin and I were in charge of communion as well as baptism. My dear friend, Sharon, made lunch for us. We usually go out to dinner after church but she knew it would be crazy on Mother's Day so she offered to cook. And she is a great cook so we said YES!

She always sets a beautiful table.

And I caught a glimpse of this on her end table...

She is a cross stitcher as well.  Us crazy for cross stitch people have to stick together.

I had texts and phone calls from my children so I had a lovely Mother's Day...hope you all did as well.

Love the photos of Landon and Kendall. Sounds like you had a pleasant Mother's Day. It's always fun to see what others are cross stitching.
Have a lovely Monday.

Landon's smile is adorable and Kendall is growing up. I can't believe how much they have grown since I first found your blog. I love the table setting and the stitching. So cute. I love seeing what others are stitching. I finished the Freedom piece this weekend. I like how it turned out.

Mildred, these kiddos are growing like weeds. I did have a nice day and Marvin gifted me with my favorite perfume.

Sandy, as I said above, how can children grow so fast??? I can't wait to see your freedom as I love that variegated thread you used on the sides. Wish I had done that now!!

You were in charge of BOTH Baptism and Communion? WOW! You and Marvin are sure to go straight to heaven. Those are big tasks. I take my hat off to you Arlene. Put your feet up and relax for the rest of the week. You deserve it.

Katie, I am sitting in my cozy chair right now. Our church has about 800 in attendance each Sunday so it was quite the task to get everything ready in a timely manner. I had book club here this morning so once I tidied up I settled down to veg out a bit.

What a friend and what a wonderful meal!
Yes, pineapples are everywhere and my Amber is crazy about them! She even has them painted on her toenails!

That sounds like a delicious meal and your friend's table is just lovely. I have worked our Mayfaire art festival for the past 21 years on Mother's Day. Looking forward to being a visitor at Mayfaire next year!!
