Happy Solar Eclipse Day

Marvin found this old tee shirt in his closet and decided he would wear it to work tomorrow.

It is rather wrinkled so I will have to touch it up with the iron!! It is from the American Physics Society or some such...Marvin told me and I forgot. :) Marvin  is a certified Georgia Tech Physicist...or Fizzist as Mama G called his title.

Here is the list on the back...August 21 is the third listing from the bottom!  You can tell Marvin loved this shirt and wore it a lot before he grew out of it. But since he has lost weight, it is back in the gym rotation!! I am only allowing him to wear it to work tomorrow for the Eclipse.  Y'all in the path of the eclipse, be safe.  In the south we are expecting a lot of people traveling here to view the eclipse. Here at Nanaland, we will be watching the eclipse on television.

I love the t-shirt. I am sure everyone at Marshall and NASA are all excited. I have a good friend who has just transferred in there. We talk constantly. We share that love for all things science or shall I say space. I am not so much of an animal science person mainly because I hate the reptile group:)
Have a fun day!

Oh yes Sandy, all of Huntsville is a quiver today!! Of all the sciences Astronomy and Physiology are my favorites. Marvin said a lot of his co workers were taking the day off to enjoy the eclipse.

What a great t-shirt. There couldn't be a better day to wear it! We are not in the path of the eclipse here, but will obviously see some effects of it.

Arco, Idaho, where we were a couple of weeks ago, will experience totality. I think they were expecting a lot of visitors to their little town!

I like the shirt!
My sons town had totality today - Hopkinsville TN. He said there were people there from 46 states and 20 countries, as far away as Japan! People were renting out their yards for $1000 for people to tent on!

What a GREAT t-shirt for this special day! I'm sure he had fun at work, wearing it!! We didn't get much of anything here in central Florida...just got a little dusky. Some of the photos I've seen are amazing though!

We watched it on TV too! Amazing! We did get some really cool shadows here at home from 1:00 - 1:30 this afternoon!
