Nana's Grimmlins on Parade

Well the Eclipse excitement is waning. Here in NoAla it was dark for three minutes, rather like a cloudy day.  Landon's teacher planned a big day for her children..an Eclipse Party. Amelia and Todd were there to help with the festivities. I have to say, School seems a lot more FUN now than it was when I was growing up. Although my third grade teacher, Mrs Edwards, did do fun things with our class. She was young and had no children so she often brought treats to class. When Fruit Loops were first on the grocery shelves she made cupcakes and decorated the top with that cereal to share with us. We were amazed.:)

But back to Priceville Elementary...

I am so glad that Landon has a teacher who makes learning fun.

Kendall checking the sky...always interested in the stars and planets.

Amelia took this picture of Kendall at Landon's soccer game. She is growing up on us!!

Miss Margaret was styling for Church on Sunday.  We are thankful to our cousin, Gabby, who passes along all her cute clothes to Margaret.

And Elliott...

Katy took Elliott to the Galleria to ride the carousel while everyone else was watching the eclipse.  Apparently everyone was outside and the mall was rather empty.

And finally, just in case you are wondering.

I have several Facebook friends who like to keep me informed of the upcoming holidays.

Have a blessed day Blog Friends.

Sandy I saw Leslie Anne's post and I could not believe it. Most of the schools around here arranged for the children to have glasses to view the eclipse. Of course we are in NoAla where the love of science reigns.

Your grands are sure growing up! I had Trystan here on Monday and we watched it on TV. Not sure she ever understood what was going on!i think children learn better when it's not in stressful situations. Making learning FUN is a great skill to have!

Oh please don't remind me how soon Christmas is coming. That means SNOW here! LOL And darling pics of the grands, Arlene. Lovely that there's a wonderful teacher who makes learning fun. I hope she gets a raise!

The eclipse wasn't much of a big deal here. It got a little dusky. Too cloudy to really see the sun. Your grands are growing up so fast!! I remember little Margaret with those cute glasses that were almost bigger than her. I think they were pink? So cute!!

What a great memory Terri! You are right, her little pink glasses were the first ones she wore.
