A Hobby Lobby Christmas

When I was in Hobby Lobby the other day several items caught my attention. The stores are just eye candy at this time of the year.  I have found from experience that if you see something you like, pick it up now as it will probably be gone and no re order by the time December arrives.

Cotton does remind me of snow...especially right now when the bolls are open and the fields are so very white.

I just love this barn.

Who can resist this face???

I love red trucks.

I have too many mugs now but if I were purchasing a new one, this would be it.

There was a whole RETRO Christmas area too. It reminds me of my childhood. I guess I am Retro now!!  Marvin calls himself a Mid Century Modern, after he heard that term on HGTV. I will just be a Retro Lady.

I do try to take the time to enjoy each season but it is hard when the stores rush us from one season to the next.  I did take some time this weekend to make some fall mix....just mix today equal amounts of peanuts, Fall M&Ms and Candy Corn. It is like Crack to me as I cannot leave it alone. I try to gift some to friends so I can have a bite without overdoing it. It is very pretty packaged in cellophane bags tied with a pretty bow.

Off to pick up my buddy, Elliott. He will be spending a few days with Nana and Grandpa.  He loves being the only child when he comes here. And let's face it...Nana does spoil him!!

I like the term Retro lady, it fits me too! It's a good thing I don't have a Cracker Barrel nearby, far too much temptation in what you have shown. Nana's were made to spoil grands, have a great time with your grandson. Mary

I love everything you have pictured! The fall mix sounds delicious and would make good gifts for me to share with neighbors and the sweet girls at our vet's office. Have a fun time with Elliott.

Sounds like fun spending time with Nana! :-) And thanks for the info on Hobby Lobby. I have way too many mugs, but I'd love to get those mugs for the grandkids! They're perfect. Hope you have a wonderful day, Arlene. xo

It's a good time to browse the Christmas areas before everyone goes crazy shopping. Love the retro area...I may have to go and look! Have fun this week with your little one! Hugs, Diane

Retro lady sounds good to me! The mug is gorgeous. I'm at the point where if one new mug comes in, two old ones must go. And I've already donated and yard-saled many of them! We have a Hobby Lobby about 1/2 hour away as of this summer, but so far I've resisted visiting it.

And the Christmas countdown in the red truck! That is adorable!

Have fun with Elliott! At lest 4-year-olds go to bed early, right?

How wonderful to be able spoil your grandson for a few days!! Lucky you! (and him!)

I need to go to Hobby Lobby soon. I love wandering the aisles and just looking at everything especially Christmas things. I'm a bit retro too but I like to think of it as I'm vintage. xo

I'm vintage too! I see more things I had as a child in the antique store. :)
Your crack sounds pretty and good. What a nice little gift!

Well Retro Lady I love your choices at Hobby Lobby. That cow piece is beyond adorable. I think I will have to get there tomorrow and see what our store is carrying.

Have fun with your sweet grandson...you are an awesome Nana. I really enjoyed this post. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever
