I Need a Little Christmas

I have been doing a little Christmas decorating each day. As  you know I am a big Mrs Erica fan. She has many interesting posts on her You Tube channel. One of my favorites is a tour of her friend's house at Christmas. This lady really decorates her house to the nines. But she mentioned something simple that I thought I would use in my own home.

She suggested that you put colorful floral picks into your potted plants. I saw this pretty pick at Pineapples, a local decor store.

I am so proud of this plant....I can never keep a plant alive. And this is a special plant, given to me by my friend, Deborah, when my father passed away four years ago. Just hoping the pick does not kill it!!:)

I can never keep a plant alive either, Arlene! What a blessing that this special plant is still thriving. The pick is a neat idea.

I've had a Christmas fix this morning...I've shopped at Hobby Lobby! I did buy some of the little old fashioned pixies and that makes me happy. Your plant looks healthy and beautiful!

What a cute idea, Arlene! Do you listen to Christmas music as you decorate for the holidays??? RJ@stitchingfriendsforever

That is such a cute idea!! It looks great! I don't have plants, artificial or live, in our house. The cats think they are toys. :(

Very energetic post, I liked that bit. Will there be a part

RJ...I will admit to listening to Christmas music all year. I have a Christmas channel on my Pandora station and I can listen when I am by myself without ridicule.:) However our Cable Provider( Charter) has started their songs of the season and I am listening to that as I pull out my special things.

I will be sharing more of the decor....most of my readers have seen my holiday home but I do try to change up things a bit every year. Right now I am working on a Dollar Tree holiday idea and if it turns out ok, I will be posting it.

Arlene, your Christmas pick reminds me of Whoville! There is something whimsical and Dr Suess-ish about it. :-)

What a cute idea! I think Gina is right - it does look something from Seuss.
I can't keep a plant alive inside my house...

Arlene, I have that plant and a Christmas cactus that miraculously blooms every Christmas but I have a black thumb for everything else that I bring into the house! I'm going to copy your idea, that you copied from youtube!! Mary
