No BLT's !

This was one of the discharge orders we received today. Thankfully it is No Bending Lifting or Twisting.  I guess we will cancel our dance parties for a while!

We are home, had a nice lunch and are in our respective cozy chairs. Thank you so much for praying. The surgery went well and so far no sciatic pain. We will gradually discontinue the gabapentin med for nerve pain and take a week here at home to recover and rest. He has the meanest nurse in the world in charge of his recovery so he WILL behave.:)

We are blessed with wonderful friends who checked on us and prayed for us. Our good friends, Sharon and Barry came by last night and brought me a LARGE cup of McD's coffee and a vanilla milkshake for Marvin. Sharon had also purchased some mini scones at Panera that really hit the spot after a stressful day.

Even "easy" surgeries can be hard on me. Being an old nurse, I always construct the worst case scenarios in my mind. Speaking of nurses, we had some really good ones. Great care at Huntsville Hospital's Spine Center floor.

Keep those prayers going up for an uncomplicated recovery. Thanks so much dear friends and faithful prayer warriors.

I’m glad everything went well! I was wondering how things went. He’s lucky to have a nurse taking care of him even if she is mean lol.
