Stitching Saturday

Today's post is a bit of a hot mess after a crazy week so please forgive the short visit today.

I did complete one stitch...

After I took the photo I noticed the bit of floss on the finish...Floss ends seem to be everywhere in a Stitching household. I do like this patterned Linen and I will look for more of it at my LNS.

And because I do not have enough stash...

I love villages. Not sure I will put the big border on this one but I love the snow, houses and Christmas trees.

And more houses....

I plan to start this one but doubtful it will be done before Christmas this year.

I am blaming all three of these purchases on floss tube stitchers who enable me along with the ongoing Marvin saga.  I am ready for some clear sailing with NO doctor visits etc.  Since my blog is my happy place I try to avoid venting here!!

Hope you all have a blessed weekend....

Arlene, it's amazing how a tiny piece of floss looks so huge after you take the photo...it's a sweet stitch and I love that fabric, is it a Zweigert linen? Great new patterns and the border on Thistle hill is gorgeous but very labor intensive. I enjoy your "Happy Place" very much! Mary

You are allowed to vent. I have done a good bit of that lately. We all just have to sometimes. The linen is so cute and yes, Floss Tube can be bad for the pocket book. I made a lot of progress on the cardinals yesterday. I had to order beads and one specialty floss to finish it. Going to work on the dogs and ornaments this weekend.
Hang in there and I hope Marvin gets better soon. Pain like that is hard.

Mary, you are so right...it looks huge and I did not even notice it. People are always picking floss off my clothing.lol And Sandy, thank you for the permission to vent. I know you have also had a difficult fall and understand the frustration. I am going to try to adjust my attitude today.

Beautiful work, Arlene! I love how it looks on the patterned linen.

And your three new purchases --- oh, they are lovely! All three look like designs I would enjoy stitching. Guess I had better stay away from floss tube.

Venting ... certainly fine with me. I have much that I could vent about but won't!

Hope Marvin continues to make good progress!

Arlene, I love that stitch with the plaid linen. I have to find some of it. I want to stitch on such a pretty fabric. I did the same thing with my witch stitch (there was a tiny piece of floss on it and I did not notice it until I uploaded the photos).

How is Marvin doing???

Love your new stash. You have plenty to keep you busy for the winter ahead. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever

Sometimes venting helps keep a happy place happy, so vent away when you need to. That's what friends are for. I love seeing your stitching projects every Saturday! Lovely.

That's another pretty piece, even with the floss.
Vent away - I do believe we would all understand and empathize.

Happy new week! Enjoying so much visiting and seeing your absolutely lovely finished piece. This is one of my favorites of yours ever, probably because I am head over heels for pines, cardinals, and wintery homes and cabins- everything in your beautiful creation♥ I just love the color scheme, too.
And love your purchases, as well. Each time I walk by the needlework section of our hobby store, I think of you as I see new designs added, especially all the glorious ones for the holiday season.

I also enjoyed catching up on your other recent posts I hadn't read before, including "BLT's" (love the title! hehe)- you will both be in my continued prayers! Praying for strength, wellness, and God's hand in healing.

Hugs and blessings!

December is lovely. like your new patterns and they shall be fun to do. I am going to do more things like this as I am finding them fun. What good is your blog without a bit of venting going on. That is what we are here for to support each other. Hope all will be well with Marvin. Hugs, lj
