Stitching Saturday

I have one finish this week and four Works In Progress. I hope to complete my stitches and get them finished sometime in December.

This ornament was my only finish. I found these sleds at The Dollar Tree as I mentioned in another post. They are perfect to mount a Cross Stitch on!

I have really enjoyed stitching on perforated paper for ornaments. I can take a project with me in the car and I can redeem the time when I am waiting for the children to get out of school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Now for my WIPS...

I am beginning to think that this will not be done this Christmas. But I will keep working on it in hopes of getting it at least half way done.

I believe this on will be completed as it is a pretty easy stitch.

My tart pan stitch is coming along as well.

This Prairie Schooler Santa will be ready in no time.

I am already looking at some January stitching. I plan to get back to my Smoky Mountain Christmas in the New Year. I want it to be completed by next Christmas. Happy Stitching Bloggy Friends.

Arlene, I love your sweet little sled stitch, I have to get to a dollar tree and buy some of the sleds! Did it come with the 2017 on the handle or did you add that? Either way, adorable!
Santa in skates is in my to do pile, love that stitch!
I have never worked on paper, I see your doing it over one, is that fairly easy to do? Love the PS Santa and look forward to seeing your FFO! You always have great finishing inspiration. Enjoy your weekend. Mary

Mary I added the stickers that say 2017. I found them at Hobby Lobby. Stitching on paper is very easy and I actually used two strands of floss with no problem. Several of my stitching friends are snatching up those sleds. They might not hold up as well as the more expensive ones but we will see. Since it is on the tree and only used for a short time I think the cheaper option is fine.

I’m still working on my Christmas embellished cross stitch from last year! Maybe it will be finished by next Christmas! You are so clever using the little sleds! They look great! One of a kind ornament!

Love those sleds, Arlene! I need to look for them. I was in Dollar Tree this week but was only looking mostly for 1)items for the Christmas shoeboxes; 2) Thanksgiving cards; and 3)trash bags in different sizes to use in sorting/cleaning at my dad's home. I forgot to buy parchment paper and didn't look at the Christmas section at all.

Loved seeing all of your Christmas stitchings and your cute sled finish, Arlene! I was just thinking yesterday about doing a little sled as they look like they would make cute and quick last minute Christmas gifts. You are so good about planning for next year--I do love your Smoky Mountain Christmas so look forward to watching it grow in January!

Great stitching Arlene. I really like the little sleds and must get to Dollar Tree and see if we have any. We have three stores in our town so surely one of them will have them. Fingers crossed. I have the Santa in the tart and really want to make it but I fear it will have to wait until next year. I love all of your other stitches too and I have a feeling you will get them done. Oh before I forget I also really like the PS Santa and it is going to be great on paper. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever
