Stitching Saturday

You all will remember my famous last words, "I will stitch from stash this year!" Well that is just not working for me right now. There have been too many cute releases that I cannot resist.

Lizzie Kate came out with this new chart. I did the Autumn pillow and I want a Winter pillow as well. I may wait and stitch it for next winter however. Because...

I want to get busy on this Easter Parade pillow by Shepherd's Bush.

Another winter project. But I had to get it now as it might go out of print and I would have to pay lots of money for it on EBAY. ( My rationale!)

Now here is my progress report for this week.

I finished February while we were at Grimmwood. Now to iron it and get it ready for the clipboard. I changed up some of the colors...I did not like the brown roof that was charted so I changed it to green.

Spring is almost here Yall!! Only G to add!

Mount Vernon was completed and you can see a small start of Martha in the bottom left.

I stitched my cow again! I made her black and white this time around. Last time it was a very dark brown and ecru.  We like black and while cattle on my farm. Now to get it finished into a Christmas ornament.

I have a small start on May...It is my birth month so I wanted to get it done so I can display it in the merry merry month of May.

I will be playing Nana this weekend so not much stitching will be completed! But Sunday afternoon, Smoky Mountain Christmas will come out to play.

May sure is a pretty design and I love that cow! You've found lots to keep you busy. Have fun this weekend! Hope you get a break to do a little stitching! Hugs, Diane

What a good variety of projects you have on the go and/or want to start, Arlene! Heartstring Samplery has an Etsy shop and wrote in one of her recent blog posts that you will always be able to find her charts there or by emailing her. Enjoy being Nana this weekend!

Oh my goodness, Arlene, you have so much tempting eye candy here! That winter pillow and also the sweet heart one in the top photo ... so much fun! And the Baby, it's cold outside one -- love that. I wouldn't have been able to resist it either. All of your other projects are looking good and I especially like how February came out.

What a stitching inspiration you are! I am plugging away at Snow Angels, a little bit almost every day. Eventually it will be done! I have visited 123Stitch and Amazon and there are charts and kits on my wish lists for the future -- not to mention loads of Cross Country charts I still want to do from magazines I have, and at least three kits already in my stash. No worries about running out of things to do, that's for sure!

Arlene, buying patterns is my "drug" of choice!! Love your Easter patterns! You certainly got lots done and Spring is almost there, lets hope we have an early Spring too! I just might have to copy your PS cow in Black and white. Love how striking that looks. Enjoy your day playing Nana!! Mary

I can't stitch from stash either, Arlene! I have way, way too many patterns to ever stitch in my lifetime, but I get such pleasure from just looking at them now and then :) Love your newest piece--the cow is darling in black and white and the PS piece is beautiful for May. I was just thinking about starting the March sampler myself.

Hope you have an enjoyable weekend!

Thanks for that info Robin! I have put off purchasing charts before only to have them disappear from the market. Heartstring Samplery is one of my favorites! Mary, I did not have this problem until I started watching Floss Tube.lol I have to say that stitching that cow was just as fun the second time around. Usually I HATE re stitching something. Thanks for all the sweet comments Friends.

"Famous Last Words" of all cross stitchers I think. Like you and so many others I can't resist buying new patterns either. I have WAY too many already but a new one will come out and I just have to have it. I don't spend much money on myself on other things so this is my one downfall. RJ
