Stitching Saturday

After I posted my market haul, I realized I had left one off...

Brenda Gervais Hen and Chicks...so adorable.

I got my March Victorian Motto Threads. I am going to get this club as well as Colour and Cotton for a while and make a decision on which club I will continue to order.

Thanks to Robin for introducing me to Victorian Motto Threads. I have really enjoyed using them and it will be hard to make a decision...so I might just get both for a while!!

And look what I got today. I went by The Cross Stitch Peddler to kit up my Silver Creek Samplery Dorothy.( It will be a birthday gift for my daughter, Amelia) and while I was there chatting with the Wednesday Class Ladies, the mailman came!! I was the first person to receive this chart. Go ME!

I started Abigail Adams this week. I look forward to getting all my patriotic ladies done by this summer.

I scored on EBAY this week with this old Prairie Schooler chart for just $3 more than the current charts cost. And it is on the hard paper!! I got it mainly for O Come All Ye Faithful and Peace on Earth Good Will to Men.

Other haul arrived from Hands On Design. These are some of Cathy's old charts that you can find on her website.

And with this order came this freebie...

As you can read at the bottom, this is free to share with yall so feel free to copy this chart.  Cathy is so generous. I really enjoy her Floss Tube pod casts. I think learning more about the story behind the design enhances my stitching.

Well now that I can stitch again, I need to get busy!! Happy Stitching to all my Stitchy Friends.

Wow, Arlene! You had a fabulous outing; nice additions to your stash. Just a heads up on the Winter Solstice chart by HOD; the stitch count is 59 x 59 and not the stated 49 x 49. I am glad you are enjoying the VMSS threads. Enjoy your Saturday!

Great choices all. So glad to see you stitching again. I finished one last night. Yippie. I have had a lot of interruptions this month so far. Very little stitching time.

Nice new additions to your stash, Arlene! I'm so glad you found the PS chart at such a good price--it is such a classic and the older charts are so much better quality than the newly printed ones. I think I may have to add the LK Spring Smalls to my stash--lucky you to get it so quickly :) Enjoy your weekend!

Arlene, I am so late in visiting. It's been that kind of week. I haven't read your previous posts yet but I can tell that your wrist must be feeling better! So excited for you for all your needlepoint projects! xo

Oh my Arlene I love that BGervais stitch. She is so good at designing sweet pieces. Love everything else you have added to your stash too. Those threads are lovely. Do you have a conversion chart to use them instead of the others or are you using them just as colors you like? Love everything you have gotten ... you lucky girl! RJ

Robin, thanks for the heads up!!! I would have been aggravated if it had not fit on the fabric.:)

RJ, I just look through my flosses and pick one that is close to the color charted. If it doesn't work after several stitches, I take it out and start the search again. I used to be so OCD about color choices....I have really loosened up.:)

WOW!! Love all the patterns, it's always nice to see what others buy, I find so many new patterns this way. Such temptation I can't resist!
