Five Years Ago at Nanaland

When Landon and Margaret were toddlers they came once a week to spend the day with Nana at Nanaschool. It gave their  moms a chance to have some peace and quiet.:)  When Margaret moved to Birmingham we were all sad that our Nanaschool Days were over.

On the first Saturday in May, Margaret came by for a surprise visit. Landon was so happy to come and see his favorite cousin.

Playing cars...

Having a snack.

Playing on the Ipad. How little they look! This was before Margaret started wearing glasses.

And here they are five years later, still the best of friends. Landon told his mom that he wanted Margaret to come to his house for a swim party this summer. I am so glad these two bonded as babies and still love each other so much.

Wow, how they have grown. Such a blessing that they have a close relationship.

As of now, we have only one grandchild, but we do the same thing with him. Once a week, he spends all day with us (it's usually a day my husband is home - he has an unusual work schedule). We started doing this when he was an infant and he is two and a half years old now. It was fun to see your pictures.

I am sure that time together at your house had a lot to do with their being so close. Great memories and they are growing up fast.

What memories you have of Nanaschool and what memories you have created for Margaret and Landon! It is nice they have a special bond.

Love this, Arlene! It is so much fun when cousins become such special friends. One of my daughters had that with one of her boy cousins growing up. We used to say they were cut out of the same piece of cloth! They seemed more like siblings than cousins.

Cousins can have such a special bond when they get to spend time with each other. My in-laws paid for my husband and his three brothers and the kids to spend time in a big beach house each summer for a week. Without those beach house memories the cousins really wouldn't have known each other as they were spread across the U.S. I bet Landon and Margaret will always have that special bond with each other :)

Ahhh...cousins are wonderful. I just spent time with one of my cousins last week and we had such a wonderful time. We lived away from this area for the majority of our married life so she filled me in on some of the family happenings concerning my grandmother's sisters and brothers. SO fun! I'm glad that Margaret and Landon have the opportunity to be together and take advantage of it. That Margaret is quite a beauty! And Landon is just every bit as handsome as Margaret is beautiful!
