Browsing Hobby Lobby....

I needed a few things from Hobby Lobby....well really I did not need them, I wanted them and that ia a very different thing according to Alice Tinker on the Vicar of Dibley. ( At the time she was discouraging the Vicar from having 8 chocolate filled nativity calendars!) I just love that show!
You ladies know that you cannot go in Hobby Lobby, get what you need then leave. I was in a good mood as I had just gotten my hair done and I felt like browsing.

If you need 4th of July supplies they are 30% off this week.  I usually wait until after the holiday and shop the big clearance sales.

I liked these pretty acorns in gold, silver and copper. Those decorations can stay out until time for Thanksgiving.

Well the ttruck is too cute but where can you find pumpkins for 25 cents?

This would be pretty added to a wreath for a front door.

If you make any round stitched ornaments....you must stock up on these while they are available. I try to purchase a package each time I go to Hobby Lobby. After Christmas they are gone with the wind.  I use these for my Prairie Schooler Barnyard Christmas ornaments.  Because they are sticky on one side,  can add batting to them.

And finally..
Here is the stand I found last week for Sunshine on a Stem. True to my word, I purchased two more. I will paint one white and one black.  Really I would like one in several more colors!!

Hope you enjoyed shopping from your chair and saving money! Christmas ornaments were being put on the shelves along with several racks of wreaths. Our Hobby Lobby is moving to a bigger store this summer and I feel sorry for the employees as they have to take everything down and put it up again at the new location. I am happy about the new store because it is closer to my house.:)

Thanks for the tip about the round sticky pieces, Arlene! I really need to make an effort to get over to HL soon. I wish it was closer.

I had to comment because it isn't often someone mentions Vicar of Dibley. My husband and I watched the entire series. It was so witty. I have never seen the sticky ornament circles. I can imagine there's lots you can do with them.

I just took a screen shot with my phone so I remember to look for them at HL. Love the chalkboard sign and I can see a cross stitch hanging from the Pumpkin sign (a la Priscialla!). Great idea to paint the stands for your specific color need.

You can spend hours in that store. I don't go very often but I sure get sidetracked as soon as I walk in! I need flat things to hang on my front door so I should look at the sign you saw! Hugs!

How fun! We have a Hobby Lobby in Boise, and I drive by it occasionally, but I have never been inside. I will have to make a trip! Have a lovely week. ~Meg at livetostitch.blogspot.com

That will be so nice to have a Hobby Lobby even closer, Arlene. I rarely go as ours is 45 minutes away and the traffic is horrid! But, I love seeing your photos of what is available :)

Since I am not much of a crafter these days, I rarely go to Hobby Lobby. When I do, I am one who really does go for what I want... to the point that I ask a staff member to show me where it is so I don't have to walk around looking for it. I know, I know. Sacrilege. When I was doing my jewelry (and do plan to get back to it) I bought wholesale online since I do have a business license and sales tax number. Those signs are great. I'm just not ready to think about Fall and Christmas yet!! LOL

The Vicar of Dibley? Tell me more! Is it on PBS by any chance?
I haven’t been to HL in awhile but I will pick up a package of those sticky back things for sure! I could use those for the quads to make ornaments. Not stitching yet but they did a little sewing with a big needle for a coffee cozie for their teacher this spring.
Hobby Lobby is one of my Happy places along with Cracker Barrel! I know you love both of these too!

I would love to go shopping with you. You find the best things. I was just in HLobby and did not see any of those things. The MG acorns are wonderful. I will have to go back and look again. RJ

Linda, The Vicar of Dibley was on PBS years ago and I purchased the DVDs because I enjoy it so much.
