Grimmwood

We enjoyed some days at  Grimmwood.

Marvin picked some blackberries.  The bushes are just starting to get full.

Our wall is coming along...

Well guess whose toes did a photo bomb?

We are waiting on some capstones and a rail...then it will be complete.

And finally...

I love the late afternoon sun that was filtering through the trees.

We enjoy our time in Georgia but I am always happy to get back to Alabama.

I went strawberry picking last week and will go blueberry picking this week. I Love blackberries too....around July 4th the wild wineberries come in season and I have tons of those bushes surrounding my property. They make the best jam ever! Do you make blackberry jam?

The wall is coming out great, I see quite a bit of math in figuring out how to do those steps as well as you have done. Very impressive!

Morning and evening light is the best for walking in the woods. I have to have my daily fix of my walk in the woods too, sooths the soul! Have a great day Arlene.

Happy you have a little getaway. There is no place like home but it is nice to get away too. I am sure the pace slows a bit at the cabin. Well maybe once you get the wall done.

I always enjoy reading about your visits to Grimmwood, Arlene. Your blackberries look divine and I spy a Longaberger dish in that picture. The wall is looking good and it won't be much longer before it is finished. Have a good day!

The wall is just beautiful, Arlene! Looking forward to pictures of the finished product. And the picture of the late afternoon sun filtering through the trees is so lovely. It is the little things like that that bring a calmness to my spirit.

It is beautiful!
Have you ever read the blog Sean of the South? I just discovered this writer through a friend and he is wonderful! He lives in Alabama which is why I wondered if you know about him?

I so agree with what Dianna said above: "the picture of the late afternoon sun filtering through the trees is so lovely. It is the little things like that that bring a calmness to my spirit." It is so true for me. Just the little things. Seeing what God does in creation always serves as a powerful reminder to me that He is in control and I need not worry about anything.

Always love reading about Grimmwood and seeing the progress!

Seeing those blackberries reminds me of my dad, Arlene! They were always his favorite berry and mom always made him a blackberry pie for his August birthday each year :)

You must treasure your times at Grimmwood!

Can I simply just say what a comfort to discover
an individual who actually understands what they're discussing
online. You actually understand how to bring a problem to light and make it important.
More and more people have to look at this and understand this side of the story.
It's surprising you aren't more popular because you surely have the gift.

Grimmwood is the best!!! Yum those blackberries look so good Arlene. My friend in California makes the best waffles with blackberries and blackberry jam. They both are so good. Your wall is coming along so well...it won't be long now. Enjoy your days in Georgia. RJ

Those fresh blackberries look so good! I love the way the wall is looking. It'll be good to have it all done. That road is just beautiful. I'd love to walk it with you. :)
