I have had this recipe for quite a while and I decided to give it a try for July 4th. What is more American in the Southern USA than Pecans? I found the recipe in one of my Alfa Insurance magazines and since I love pecans, I tore the whole page out to save it.

This recipe makes about 1 1/2 dozen so I doubled it with no problem. I plan to share some with my neighbors and friends as well as take some to Grimmwood. I did the taste test myself and they are yummy. I will probably save them for a Christmas Cookie as they are so decadent. They taste rather like pralines without all the trouble.
