Ben is 40

My oldest son turned 40 today! It seems just yesterday that I was in labor at UT Hospital in Knoxville hoping he would arrive before Rudolph came on tv that evening.lol Back in the day Rudolph only came on once a year and I did not want to miss my annual Christmas pleasure.  BTW, he did not arrive until 8:30...half way through Rudolph so I missed it.

A bit blurry but we were all a lot younger back in 1978, Here we are taking Ben to meet his great grandparents for the first time.  The shelves behind me are filled with  pictures of all of Grandmother Tankersley's grandchildren. She was proud of each and every one of us. Now I understand that.

Look at that darling six month old with two bottom teeth shining.

Age five with his sister, Amelia. I had wanted a picture of all three children but Charles refused to sit with his siblings and pitched a fit so only these two were photographed.

High School....

How the time flies
Thankful for the fine man Ben has grown up to be. Happy 40th!!

The pictures are wonderful. Time really does click off way too fast. Y'all were so cute back in 1978.
