Christmas at Aunt Joyce's House

My Aunt Joyce loves Christmas and her house reflects that! I had time to go over for a visit the last time I was in Chatsworth. Aunt Joyce is just nine years older than me so in many ways she was more like a big sister than an aunt.  I can remember her bedroom at my grandparents house. I was seldom invited inside but I loved seeing the picture of Ricky Nelson and Elvis that she had displayed there. I always thought she was the teen ager I wanted to be one day! So come along and let's visit her house in Chatsworth.

You will be greeted by er tree on the enclosed front porch.  And this pretty table with cardinals...

Let's go into the living room.

I love all the touches of red in the tree but then red is my favorite color.

I think Aunt Joyce Believes!

Aunt Joyce also loves all things Disney Work and manages to take a trip there at least once a year.

More Mickey!

I love all the little villages she has set up around her home.

Even the dishwasher gets decorated.

The kitchen window

Snow Men and Ladies abound.

This is not Christmas but in her kitchen she has a magnetic board displaying magnets from all the places she has visited in her travels.  It gave me an idea for Grimmwood which I will share soon.

I love this wreath!

Every corner has something to look at!

Mice welcome you to the bathroom.

More snow men.

I really enjoyed seeing all her pretty things. She begins decorating in early November. And she has a nice new shed where she keeps all her decor.  So if you are wondering where I got my love of Christmas...well it is a family thing!!

I am adding a picture of my Aunt since Nancy reminded me some of you might like to see her smiling face.

It is always amazing how people can put the whole house together like that. I have a friend who does the entire house as well. She keeps a storage room for it all.
One of my mother's younger sisters is 8 years older than me. I looked up to her too, so I get the relationship with your aunt. We are still close.

Such a festive home--and that is the first time I've EVER seen a decorated dishwasher :)
