Stitching Saturday

I did have a finish this week!

I do not know if you have heard all the hoopla about this song. Apparently Baby Its Cold Outside  is offensive but vulgar  rap and 50 Shades of Gray are just fine. I really worry for our country and the direction it is headed in the future.

I thought I would take some pictures of the seasonal cross stitch I have displayed around the house.

It was hard to get a picture of this one but it is Up on the Housetop by Prairie Schooler. I took all three cottages and stitched them as one piece. To the Right you will see a Prairie Schooler Santa stitched on Perforated Paper.

This its on the dresser in my bedroom.  It is Tree Farm by Prairie Schooler.( See a theme here?) I do love Prairie Schooler.

Prairie Schooler Christmas Village. This stays up all year long as I just love it so much . it is displayed with two other Prairie Schooler Villages.

This is from an old Prairie Schooler Christmas Sampler. I did just Mary, Jospeh and Baby Jesus and finished it into a cube. It looks nice with my other nativities.

My Heart in Hand can see Marvin having breakfast at the breakfast bar.:)

Back to Prairie Schooler in the Guest Bathroom.

And my only stitch on Black

It is hard to get a picture of it and I cannot remember the number of this Prairie Schooler. While it is pretty stitching on black is just too hard for me these days. On the right is a Stacy Nash Primitive.  She holds a wreath with the year 2017 stitched inside the wreath.

Hope you enjoyed my tour. I love having seasonal stitches that can be swapped out for each season.

You have made so many incredible patterns. The black background is stunning but I'll make a mental note not to do that! I don't know which one is my favorite...I love them all. And your hand towels are very cute too! Happy weekend!

You truly have stitched so many lovely Christmas pieces and your decorating is wonderful. Everything looks perfect. Speaking of all this crazy PC garbage...have you heard that candy canes aren't allowed in some schools because upside down they are a J and that stands for Jesus. What next will they come up with??? Oh, I SO enjoyed seeing all of your Christmas stitching throughout your home, Arlene--it looks gorgeous! I really need to do that PS Christmas Village--just love everything about it, especially the prancing deer.

My husband and I were just talking about how ridiculous all the concern is about Baby Its Cold Outside when their is such filth in so many other songs that are played on the radio. Before long, we won't be able to utter a single word for fear someone will be offended.

I love all of your Christmas stitching! It looks so festive!
We are disgusted by the hoopla over this song. Political correctness has gone too far.

Arlene, thank you for the Christmas tour of your decorations. Each piece is fabulous. I really like the red frame molding you used for the PS piece in your bedroom.

Congratulations on your finish! Love it!

I was so busy this weekend I didn't get a chance to comment on all this loveliness. I would leave that one up all year too. I love the geese in flight at the top:) Funny how some things catch your eye. I love all of those PS stitches. I really like the three cottages all together with the Santa in flight too. Everything just looks very good!!!
