Stitching Saturday

Good Morning....Happy Groundhog's Day!! I am hoping that Beauregard, our southern groundhog predicts an early spring.  But if he does not....I will just enjoy my new spring colored flosses from Colour and Cotton.

These pretty colors brightened up a cold day here in NoAla. These colors are perfect for some spring charts.

I finished up March from Hands on Design. I may finish this one as Kathy Haberman suggests and display it on a clipboard.

One more day of stitching and Red Bird should be ready to turn into a pillow!

My Happy Christmas, a new re release by Hoffman, came in at the Cross Stitch Peddler. I decided I did not want to stitch on Black so I am going for dark blue. I love my Charlie Brown Needleminder. It is perfect for this stitch.

Speaking of Needleminders. I was watching some of The Primitive Stitcher's old videos on You Tube and she shared how she stores her needle minders. Well It was such a cute idea I wanted to steal it.  I was at Dollar Tree when I came upon this cute tin.

I brought it home with me and did this.

I am going to have to get one more of these to hold all my minders.  I keep it in my stitching basket and when I need a needle minder, I have it at hand.

It is supposed to be 60 here today but rainy so I am planning on some quality stitching time.

So it looks like you collect Needle Minders. I think that's a habit I need to adopt. Cute storage idea. Love your stitching! Isn't it great when the weather is such that staying inside to stitch is about all you can do? Happy weekend!

What an adorable Charlie Brown needle minder! Great idea for keeping them in one spot as well! The latest batch of threads from Colour & Cotton are gorgeous. What is the day of the blue? I like your blue fabric choice for the PS Christmas piece. Congratulations on getting the March block finished and a good bit of Red Bird stitched!

Robin the blue fabric is Twilight. I am not sure of the supplier as I got it at my LNS and there is no name on the tag.

Oh, those colored flosses! So beautiful!

The needle minder storage idea is such a good one and I like that tin. Perfect for the job! (I have no needle minders, myself.)

The Happy Christmas chart looks like such fun and the blue fabric is simply gorgeous. I need to get back to stitching.

You must check out Mad for Minders on Etsy, they have some really cute and original designs. I got a Phantom of the Opera playbill and some Harry Potter for my daughter. I'm going to get some of the retro TV shows to use on my refrigerator. I'm working on an old Blackbird Loose Feathers called "Spring Fling" and having the best time! So ready for Spring!

Angela, I had to order some needle minders. I am friends with Brenda of Brenda's Minders and More so I get most of mine from her. I got a Queen Victoria needle minder for my Victoria piece, A Le Miz playbill, Jane Austen and Mr Rogers. Cant wait to get them.

Is she on Etsy? I may have to get a Queen Victoria one.

Angela, Brenda has a Facebook page that she uses instead of Etsy. Mad for Minders had a lot of unique needle minders.

What pretty spring threads! Our PA groundhog, Phil, predicted an early spring this year so I'm excited. We'll see how accurate he is :)

Love the Red Bird piece you are working on, Arlene, and your March square is adorable.

I don't use needleminders myself, but that looks like a cute collection and a great way to store them :)
