Sprucing up for Spring

After a week of warmer temperatures old man winter decided to pay us one more call! Hopefully by the end of the week, Spring will return.

One of my nursing school friends and her husband are stopping to spend the night with us on Wednesday on their way to Atlanta.  I decided to add a pretty vignette to the guest room. My sister Kristi gave me two of the bunny plates so I decided to put one here. The Candle ring is from Valerie Parr Hill at QVC and the Bunny on wheels was a gift from my friend, Terry. She and her husband retired and downsized so she gave me this bunny as well as the giant bunny on my breakfast bar.

My Grove Collaborative order came in this week. I changed out my Mrs Meyer Peppermint for the Christmas season to this Rosewater Driftwood scent that reminds me of a spring day.  I shopped from my house, taking this small cake plate that I never used and placed a doily on it then added my soap, countertop spray, dish soap and scrubber.  My Scrub Daddy is hiding behind the plate.  I had never thought of putting these item on a cake plate until I saw one of my younger You Tube friends do this in her home. it is very convenient and I can  lift the plate to clean underneath.

While scrolling through Facebook the other night I came across these St Patrick Day treats on tucson.com

Both of these treats would be fun to do with the grands. I think the top candy would be easier with my rowdy crew!

I recently hit 80 followers so I am going to do a giveaway this week!  When I hit 90 I will do another one, and so on. I appreciate everyone who signs on as a follower. I know many people read blogs and never leave a comment and I appreciate those readers too.   I love my blogging friends.

Pretty bunny display! I think the pretzel pops would be fun to make with the grands. Hope you have a good Monday and week ahead.

I love the vignette with that adorable bunny and plate. I can't wait to put out my stuff Wednesday. I am holding off because I have a church party tomorrow night and it is themed so I don't want too much stuff out.
The news about the tornadoes is so horrible. The little community I did my student teaching in has lost 23 and maybe many more. Alabama has become a state that needs to start adding storm cellars to all new houses, but it is hard to build them in the bedrock of the hills. I just knew all that warm weather couldn't be good. Stay safe.

I love the cake plate idea! That will work brilliantly not only in my crafting area but also on my makeup area / vanity! Thank you for sharing! :)

What a great use of a cake plate! You know, every time I see those glass dishes with the hobnail edge (I forget what you call them) I think of you. There are quite a few of these at the house I'm cleaning out.

And the shamrock pretzels look like fun. Like you, I would go with the ones in the top photo. They look easier and actually tastier too.

Love all of your pretty displays Arlene. Those pretzels look yummy and so cute. My son loves candy covered pretzels. My old neighbor used to always make him some.

We called our friends today to make sure they were ok after the tornado. That is so scary. They live in Montgomery so it hit nearby. I know you are in northern Alabama and I'm happy to see it didn't go by you. Have a great week. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever

Such a pretty Spring vignette. We had another 8 inches of snow last night so no spring décor going up here, but I can't wait for nicer weather..

Those pretzels with the chocolate and green m&m's look so tempting!!

Oh Arlene, your spring decor is so sweet! I am holding out a little longer. The weather has turned colder here as well and it seems as if it rains every day. Love what you did with your cake stand. And those St Patty's Day snacks are adorable!

Your bunnies are so sweet! I finally felt well enough to get out some of my spring decorations today. Have a lot more to go, though--I do love bunnies :)
