Friday Five

Easter is Coming and with Easter, thoughts of Easter Baskets filled with Goodies. I am sharing my five favorite candies that I would love to see in my Easter Basket.

1. Jelly Belly Easter Mix

I love Jelly Belly and thank you President Reagan for introducing these yummy treats to me. My favorite flavors are Tutti Fruity, Coffee and Banana.

2. Cadbury Mini Eggs

You can keep those big Cadbury eggs....they are just TOO sweet for me. I prefer these little baby eggs.

3. Reese's Easter Eggs

My son Ben's favorite as well.

4. Snickers Easter Egg

I love peanuts  and that is not too unusual for a girl from Georgia where peanuts are plentiful.

5. Homemade Chocolate Covered Eggs

This is just a picture I found on the Internet but these eggs remind me of the eggs my mother in law made at Easter. She dipped the candy eggs in chocolate and added our names to the top!! I have never mastered her recipe but if I close my eyes and think really hard I can almost taste one of those special treats!  I am sure the love that went into making them added to their deliciousness.

So, what is your favorite Easter Candy?

Reese eggs! They have a different ratio of chocolate to peanut butter than regular Reese cups have. It had been a long time since I had eaten Jelly Belly jellybeans and then I won a box in your contest. They were really good. I had forgotten how tasty all the flavors are - much different than my childhood jellybeans! Today I will be shopping for all my Easter candy treats. There are so many yummy choices and I love all the pretty seasonal wrappings and colors.

Hi, Arlene! I've been so behind on reading and commenting lately....ugh.

You had me at Cadbury mini eggs. There is something so perfectly decadent about the creaminess of the chocolate inside, and the delicate crunch of the outer candy shell. When I was working full time, I kept a candy jar at my desk for my co-workers and I would have put those in it. Now that I'm home, I resist the urge to buy candy. My 16-year-old does not know when to stop, so it's just better for all of us if there is no candy around! But I can live vicariously through you.

Have a great weekend!

What a wonderful selection of treats you shared! I hope you will find an Easter treat awaiting you soon. I like the Cadbury mini eggs and the Reese's Peanut Butter eggs. I think my favorite Easter candy are the handmade coconut cream eggs that we get locally. Good thing they are only available for a short period of time. Enjoy your Friday!

My favorite candy is the Peeps. Since I am allergic to chocolate I don't have much of a choice.

We like regular jelly beans - black and red are my favorites! Silly, but I look forward to those malted milk balls at Easter. Go figure! I'm over Reese's peanut butter anything. Give me toffee, please!

Cadbury Eggs. I always get them for Beloved (plus extra for me to taste-test for the Easter Bunny).

I love the Dove dark chocolate eggs.

Arlene, I think my favorite are the Sees dark chocolate truffle eggs. I'm not a peep kind of girl. Too gritty for me.

Oh, those Cadbury Mini Eggs are a true weakness for me this time of year, Arlene! I have already polished off two bags by myself and am making myself not open the third bag until Easter :) I love any candy, actually, which is why I walk so much each day to work off those calories :)

Hi Arlene,
My favorite is the Reese's eggs. I wish you and your family a blessed Easter. I left a comment for you back in Dec/Jan that I had started a new blog. Hope you'll visit if you have a chance. Mildred

Reese's Peanut Butter eggs are my favorites although we seldom buy them. I've made homemade ones before that turned out really well too, but Reese's are so good!

Hmm jelly beans (the black ones) for George and for me the malted balls with the hard speckled shell on top. I also love the solid tiny chocolate eggs. RJ
