Grimmwood

We were off to the wedding on Wednesday morning. We stopped in Madison, Alabama to pick up my sis in law, Amy. She was in the area visiting friends so it was perfect timing for her to join us for a trip to North Carolina.

We stopped in Chatsworth for the night. I took the chance to do my Christmas decorating at Grimmwood.

I put up our little tree. It has lots of hand stitched ornaments.

Chicken Joy by Priscilla and Chelsea.

The mantle.

Smoky Mountain Christmas comes out again.

I had forgotten about the Melissa and Doug manger scene that Leta found on sale after Christmas. I moved it under the tree.

In the afternoon we took a trip around the community so Amy could see the sights. Fort Mountain looked very pretty in the autumn sun.

We got a good night's sleep and headed off to NC on Thursday morning.

Love your tree and so glad to know I am not the only one with a tree up a little early. Hope you had a good trip.

Arlene, thank you for sharing your tree and décor at Grimmwood! I really like the looks of your skinny tree. I bet Amy enjoyed herself at Grimmwood!

The first date John and I went on was to the Fort Mountain area! Lovely photos and your tree and all the works of HEART are gorgeous. xo

Grimmwood looks beautiful all decorated for Christmas! How nice that your sister-in-law got to spend a little time with you there and see the area!

The mountain is so pretty. I love all the Christmas decorations. I don't think I will do any at Auburn. I almost feel a bit guilty to have nothing outside in such a sweet little neighborhood, but all know we aren't there permanently. I bought some kind of manger scene out of wood for Tucker. It is meant to be played with. Church has the Fisher Price ones and the little ones just love playing with them.

I loved the photos of your Grimmwood decorating, Arlene--looks like you're all set for Christmas. I haven't even pulled a single box of Christmas stuff down from the attic yet--am hoping I'll have lots of little elves helping me out the day after Thanksgiving :)
