In the Dining Room

I love my dining room but I must admit, it is not used as much as I would like!  It is fun to decorate in there however.

My bling bling table.

I left my blue and white things in place and just added my favorite Santas.

You may remember this from last year. Yes, those are the paper plates I put in front of my China plates. It looks festive and from a distance who can tell? The little pine cone tree is a memento from my days as a preschool teacher. My friend, Donna, made it for me and I pull it out every year.

The tea cart is pretty simple.

One more look at my Willow Tree Nativiy. I purchased this with a little inheritance I received when my daddy passed away. I think of him whenever I see it.

I added a Cracker Barrel Christmas tree to the Shepherds Scene.  They needed some light for their journey.

And today is grandson Elliott's sixth birthday.

He is a charmer and a scamp all rolled into one. He adds lots of laughter to our family.

It is all so pretty. I love the little pinecone tree. It is always fun to relive memories with the decorations. I have so many things I pull out each year and think of the person that gifted it to me. One of my favorites is a reindeer given to me by Jeff's mom. Elliot is so cute.

What a beautiful dining room area you featured today, Arlene! I love your paper plate idea and they go well with your Santa mugs. Your bling bling table picture made me chuckle; what fun bling. I love your Nativity and I love the red Santas amongst your blue/white pieces.

Happy birthday wishes to Elliott!

Happy birthday to Elliot! What a charmer! I love your decorations and think putting the festive paper plates in front of your china is a brilliant idea! I love your Nativity! I didn't put my very large Avon Collectible Nativity out this year. My mom was an Avon Lady and gave me all the pieces year after year until it was discontinued. I just decided to not get it out this year. I will post some photos tomorrow from our house. Again, love your Christmas placements!

Your Dining room looks very nice. I really love the Willow Tree Nativity and it's extra special because it was a last gift from your dad.

(I'm getting caught up on my blog reading this morning) Your Santas look really good among the blue china. Nice contrast.

Paper Christmas plates in your china cabinet!!!! You are brilliant! I love the idea. I may copy that idea some time.

The Willow Tree Nativity is perfect. What a wonderful way to remember your dad.
