Saturday Stitching

Good Morning my Stitchy Friends. It has been a productive week at Nanaland.

The Triplets are  FFO'D. They are living on the bed in the guest room until all the Valentine Decorations are returned to the attic.  I love the trim I found that look like snowballs. I just stitched those onto the pillow.  I posted this on Instagram and Barb the other half of Lost in Floss commented on it! Made my day!

I finished my February Very Prairie Year Stitch. It is from Booklet 133, Winter Wind.

It joined some winter friends in the Dough Bowl.

Cathy Habermann of Hands On Design released her Anniversary Freebie this week. You can find it at her blog or on the Hands on Designs Stitchers on Facebook.

Oops...someone ordered this chart.  It could not have been me as I am stitching from stash.:)

I did have two new starts this week.

The first one goes in my January Project Bag by Brenda's Minders and More.

Brenda gave me this chart as she was finished with it. I am using floss from my stash. The fabric is Stormy Night 32 count Lugana, ordered from Jen's Stitching Niche.

Isn't this Valentine Bag just adorable?Another bag by Brenda.

Another chart from Brenda. She and I often exchange charts and this one will be going back to Brenda when I am finished with it. I am stitching this on 14 count ivory Aida...a gift from Judi, one of our North Alabama Stitchers. We have lots of nice things on our give away table at our monthly meet ups.  Of course, I am using Cupid for the house and Green with Envy for the trees. The rest of the flosses are from my stash.

If you do not want to be enabled to order charts, don't watch Jen's Stitching Niche newest Floss Tube. She shared so many lovely finishes....truly enabling for those of us who are weak! The struggle is real!

The winner of last week's give away is Renee G. Renee's favorite Valentine candy is Dove Dark Chocolate.  Renee please email me your snail mail address....agrimm55@hotmail.com. Come back next Saturday for another give away!

Everything is so so pretty!!! I love the freebie Meant to Bee, but those Hooplas are just hard to resist. I am trying so hard to not even look at anything until I finish Tucker's project. Hard Hard. Those project bags are so cute too. Your little dough bowl is full of adorableness.

Love love this blog. I often wish you could give lessons to others who do blogs. It is important to:
Use a font that is easy to read
Use a background that is a contrast...not too light or too dark.
Don't have one million pictures and one million ads that make it difficult to brink up and keep up...my laptop is new and does fine but the IPAD is old and keeps going off
Don't write politics and please writers, don't put pictures of politicians on the blogs...that takes away from everything else...sorry...I know...I know...just don't read those...I don't.
Write about stitching, recipes, life, books, books and more books...
Tell a little bit about your history...where you live...the state at least...where you came from...your roots so to speak..

You have done it all...I love reading it...

Awww, your snowmen and groundhog turned out great, Arlene! Where did you find the white pom pom trim? I have a hard time finding it- have looked in JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby and Michael's and cannot find it. I've seen it on Etsy but in no local stores. Maybe our Boise stores just have limited selection.

I, too, had planned to "stitch from stash" in 2020, but then I found an online store that has wonderful sales - Sandra's Stitch Stash. I picked up some oldies but goodies there. Then my mom gave me a gift certificate to 123stitch for my birthday.... so I am already getting new things. I made a spreadsheet of all the charts I have already and I am embarrassed. I'm going to have to live to be 300 to stitch them all. It is nice to have a stitching buddy to share charts with!

Have a lovely week - and congrats to Renee on winning your giveaway!

Your trio of snowmen look so cute finished as a large pillow, Arlene--and that pompom trim is perfect! I've always meant to stitch the cute groundhog--after all he is a Pennsylvania resident--ha ha! Maybe next year. Your dough bowl looks so pretty all decked our for Valentine's Day, too. Enjoy those new acquisitions :)

Well done, Arlene! I am in awe of your productivity as a stitcher. Too much on my plate for that right now, I'm afraid. The First Snowfall design appeals to me particularly. Maybe someday ....
