Friday Five

1. New Summer Purse

A birthday gift from a dear friend. It will b so cute to carry this summer.

2. Crystals

Amelia and Todd were out in Arizona recently and they brought these stones to the boys. Kendall got a dream catcher. I love the way these look all grouped together.

3. Pink Hair

Kendall had been wanting to dye her hair pink.  So Nick and Amelia agreed she could do this. Daddy took her to a reputable hair dresser for the transformation.  It looks more red in this photo. I commented to Amelia that Kendall would make a beautiful ginger!  I was skeptical when this was brought up to me. .....after all I am an old Nana. But Amelia told me that she knew Kendall well enough to know she would not like the maintenance and they would dye it back before school started. We will see who wins, Mom or Kendall.lol I told Marvin that Amelia was a better mom than me, I would have said absolutely not, then my child would have done it herself and it would look awful!lol Best to pick your battles in these teenage years.

4. New Teva Sandals...  This was my birthday present to me from Marvin. He gave me some money which I was happy to spend.

5.Jelly Beans    Does anyone else love Jelly Beans as much as I do? We went to the Mennonite Grocery store and I picked up a package to take to Grimmwood. Red Jelly Beans are my favorite with white coming in second.

Kendall looks pretty! I was skeptical when I started reading your post, but it does look very nice. Your purse is adorable. I have always loved jellybeans! I cannot stop eating them once I start! lol

Did your friend make the purse? I love the color combo.....grey slacks and a cute top with orange in it and you will be stylin!! Those crystal colors are amazing! My little nephew loves cracking open geodes, he would love these! I don't understand girls coloring their hair when they don't have to, it's such a pain when you have to do it as you age. I've been coloring since 27 and sure wish I didn't have to. She is very cute in pink though! I buy a bag of black jelly beans for me every Easter, I love them!!

Your purse for summer is so cute as are your sandals. I love popcorn jelly beans...I like her pink hair but like you, I would have probably said 'no' and end up with who knows what! Happy Friday

Your purse does look so summery. I agree about picking your battles-- I would rather allow some pink hair than other things. OF course, I am glad I am not the one raising them now. Tougher things they can do now. I will just be the praying grandma.

Enjoyed this week's Friday Five (truth be told, I enjoy them every time you offer them, Arlene). What a darling new summer bag! Did you friend do the crocheting or have it made? Kendall's hair looks lovely. Hope you enjoy your new sandals. Do you like the regular jelly beans or will you eat the spiced ones as well? Enjoy your Friday!

That purse is SO cute!! What a great gift! We see lots of pink hair down here (and blue). Our Barber has pink hair! It looks good on Kendall! My Joe LOVES jelly beans. We are both partial to black jelly beans but he loves them all. Enjoy your beans!

That purse is adorable Arlene! I personally am a black jellybean fan… I know there's not many of us but I am hardcore licorice fan!

I like jelly beans - any but the black so hubby gets those. Your new purse is neat.

Cute purse. You are right about picking battles. Sometimes we just tend to say no, but really - what harm does pink hair do? And Amelia is probably right. If you do it once they are happy, if you refuse it can take on a life of its own.
