The Grands Were Here!!

We had a big week....first I want to share this picture of Niece Laura, with Sonny Perdue, the Secretary of Agriculture for the USA.  Laura is having many opportunities to meet important people in her role as Northwest Georgia Field Rep for Senator Loeffler.
Nana was so excited to have five of her nine grands in the house on Thursday.  Here are my cousin buddies, Margaret and Landon. These two have been close since they were infants.
Grandpa and Elliott. Look at those dimples on that Elliott.

One  of my cousins said that Ben and Amelia look like they are in time out.lol No they are pretty good kids for sure. They had not seen each other in a while so they enjoyed the reunion as well.
What makes a Nana truly happy? Seeing her grandchildren playing together. Baylor was in the corner playing with the toys in the toy box. He tends to be a solitary fella but he gave Nana and Grandpa some loving while he was here.  Kendall was here as well but you know the rule with the teenagers....no pictures. :) Kendall is growing up. She graciously offered to keep an eye on Baylor while we had pizza. She and Baylor took their pizza up to Grandpa's man cave.
This afternoon was good for all of us. It made us feel like things might just get back to normal one day.

There is just nothing like grandchildren. I heard someone say 'if they had known they would have had grandchildren before their children!' lol They are fun and those hugs mean alot.

I know what you mean by that last statement. One thing I have learned from all of this is never ever take time with family for granted. I can do without lots of other things but I need my family around.

Enjoyed the pictures from Nanaland! You are blessed with beautiful children and grandchildren, Arlene. Glad they were able to come for a visit and provide some normalcy during this time. Happy Monday!

That is great that you had so many of your family members to visit, Arlene! Everybody looks great and like they're getting through this virus mess with flying colors...

That really is fun for everyone! We'll never forget the sacrifices we made this year and how we wondered if things would ever feel normal again. We're not there yet here in our neck of the woods. Enjoy your week!
