Back to School

All the grands are in school now.

Audrey went first.  And today is her Daddy's 37th birthday. He was born on one of the hottest days of the year in 1983 in Louisville, Kentucky. Happy Birthday Charles Clifford.

Then Kendall and Landon

You can tell they are not thrilled at having to hold the school bus sign. :) Might be time to retire that one.  I do not have pictures of Hudson and Hampton but I hope their first days were good ones too.

Finally the Bham Grimmlins.

The Bham kiddos had new schools to navigate  Margaret had to eat lunch by herself as she did not really get to know any new friends. Nana may have to go down there and take care of that.:) Katy had a talk with her and they worked out a new strategy for friend making. Baylor had some tears....new places are hard for him. However, Elliott had a blast.

Nana is praying for a great year for all my sweet grands.

I am saying a prayer for Margaret and Baylor right now. I can't stand that thought. IT will get better. Margaret, especially is too sweet not to attract new friends. I pray Baylor will love his new school!!!

Wishing each one of your grands the best year yet, Arlene. I am praying for all of them, but especially for Margaret and Baylor at this time. I hope Baylor settles into his new school, new classroom, new routine, and new classmates. I pray that Margaret makes new friends who make her happy and included.

Going back to school is always nerve racking but usually turns out to be fun. Hope it is for each of your grands. School today isnt like it was 'back when'!

I'm sorry to hear Margaret had to eat alone. My father's work had us moving a lot, I know that feeling Margaret must have had. She'll make friends soon and that will all be behind her. My grands are all out of school, now I have the great grands starting. Enjoyed the pictures and Happy Birthday to your son!

Happy Birthday to Charles! Loved all the pics of your cute grands. Mine don't start until Monday.
It's hard for adults to go to new places when they don't know anyone, and of course hard on kids too. Probably hardest on moms and grandmas though. Praying for Margaret to make lots of friends quickly.

Prayers for your dear Margaret and Baylor, especially, and for the others as they navigate a new school year during this pandemic. It will all work out, I'm sure. Some ages are harder than others for first days. Keep us posted! Happy birthday to your son... love his shirt!

Fifteen times I was a new kid at school between the ages of 5 and 18. Yes, it gets better, and no, it's not easy (although some schools and years were easier than others). Your grandchildren are beautiful, every one of them. The school bus sign is a good idea.

I wish your grnadkids all the best in their new school years. This will be a particularly challenging one for both teachers and students. My sister just retired from a long teaching career in June and is counting her lucky starts that she doesn't have to go back again during a pandemic.
