Saturday Stitching

Yes I had some haul this week....
I ordered two of the Beggars I had my eye on. Because my dough bowls are just not full enough!!

Cathy Roginella at Inspired Needle sent me two skeins of Terrapin for my Lizzie Kate Christmas ABCs. My sisters got me Praiseworthy Stitches Country Church Yard for Christmas. I needed a big piece of blue fabric to stitch it on. 16 count Aida in the color, Willow Wisp.  Of course, Cathy doesn't send me packages unsolicited....if only she did!!:)  This will be another long term project.

Jen at Jen's Stitching Niche on ETSY, sent me this one. I believe there was only one left in stock when I put this in my cart. As Brenda and Laura say, Buy All the Blackbird.( Flosstubers Brenda and the Serial Starter). This one will go in to my chart file for next summer. I cannot start a new piece until I finish my Blackbird Lady Liberty drum.

I did work on Though He Seemeth Sleeping.

I had two finishes...

These are not colors I am usually drawn to but oh what fun stitches. After I finished Sara's Cup of Cheer I decided to do Happy Holidays as well.  I may stitch Cup of Cheer again as it is such a cute stitch and a good Christmas ornament for the younger crowd.

I am not sure what I am in the mood to stitch this week. My rotation has gone by the wayside and I just stitch on whatever floats my boat. However, I do need to work on some patriotic stitches if I want them done by this summer.

Happy stitching Friends.

Good morning Arlene, you are going to be a very busy woman indeed! I love all of your new stash. I bought the BBD Book, when it first came out and stitched the Fish with America in the middle. I love that picture and set it out with my patriotic summer stitches. The fabric you got is beautiful, and I am anxious to see the pattern you have planned to stitch on it. Ahhhhh, so many projects and so little time. Many blessings to you and yours my friend:)

It sure is fun to mix it up and do different designs for the seasons or just for fun! Enjoy your weekend!

That is how I stitch. I stitch what I want when I want. Right now I am stitching Spooky Typography by Pine Mountain. It will be nice to have it finished and waiting to be fully finished when the time comes who knows what I will stitch next. Miriam in Texas

The ornaments are so colorful and happy. Though He Seemeth Sleeping is going to be so pretty. I like the colors you have chosen for it too.

Alene, My resolve to not buy any new patterns flew out the window quickly!! I have Beggers night waiting to be stitched too. I love that series. I love the re-release of the BD and I just love the blackbird and flag...
Both your Christmas ornaments are such fun stitches and I do like the bright and cheerful colors.
I agree, stitch what you are in the mood to work on, it's all for our pleasure and not a job.

Always enjoy seeing what stitching or stash you feature, Arlene! I really like the two ornaments you stitched especially the coffee one. The Willow Wisp fabric is a beautiful color. I think you should stitch whatever makes you happy.

Lost of fun new charts, Arlene! And I figure buying a few new cross stitch things is much less expensive than buying most other things like jewelry and clothing, right? Your new finishes are so bright and cheerful... It's fun to stitch with colors outside of your usual palette now and then, isn't it? Hope you are having a nice stitching week ♥
