Happy New Year's Eve

Well I am back in Alabama and I am looking forward to getting caught up on my blog reading and floss tube viewing.

In Georgia we rely on our phones to look at the Net and girls, I have read your blogs but there have been very few comments because my fingers just do not type well on a phone. So I will be leaving a comment on your blogs today after I get home from church.

I will share a few blogs about Christmas and I will show you a piece of furniture I refinished and took to Grimmwood.

We had a nice Christmas and we are looking forward to 2018. 2018 will be the year that Marvin's dad would turn 100 so Marvin is attempting to get all six siblings together to honor the memory of their dear father.  Will you pray for us as we make plans...when you have six people and their spouses to accommodate it can be frustrating. We have already run into a few snags which is to be expected but can be discouraging.  Marvin is gruff on the exterior but soft on the interior and he loves all his siblings dearly. It would mean so much to have a weekend together to remember their times growing up in Savannah, Ga.  I know some of you have planned reunions and they look so fun!  I want it to be a joy instead of a chore.  I am thankful for all you faithful prayer warriors.

It will be a COLD night here in NoAla as we ring in the New Year...ok, I will be honest most of the time I am snoring by the time the ball drops and the firecrackers are set off.  I hope you welcome the New Year with the one you love.

Arlene, I can imagine how difficult it must be to get everyone on board for the same weekend. Honoring their father in this way would be such a great way to show your love and respect for the man that raised you.

We never go out for New Years Eve and I'm usually sound asleep too as much as I try to stay up.

Wishing you and your family a Happy and Healthy New Year!!!

I will keep Marvin (and you) in my thoughts and prayers as he plans this gathering of his siblings to remember and honor their Dad. Wishing you and yours a new year filled with peace and much happiness.

Praying all the arrangements can be made. It will be so worth it when it comes together. Have a wonderful New Year! We will definitely be staying in. Especially with the cold weather predicted for Huntsville.

Arlene, I will add your reunion to my prayer list. I can imagine it must be stressful but I pray that everything will fall into place and everyone will enjoy their time together. I look forward to seeing your handiwork!

PS I've returned to for a new start for a new year! ♥

The reunion sounds like such a great idea and I sure hope y'all can make it work for all six siblings. Do keep us posted and I will be praying about it! Happy New Year to you and yours!!

Yes, getting that many people together can be a job but I will join you in praying it all works out. If God wills it to be - it will be so!
It's COLD in Texas!!! Seriously!! Into the teens tonight so we are NOT at the camper and won't be until it warms up next week!
We plan on staying up and watching the NEW YEAR arrive on Fox with Jesse Waters and Kenedy. That should be fun!
