Saturday Stitching

As I reported last week, I took some time to take Christmas Works in Progress off the Q snaps and store them away until Summertime. I know it is hard to believe that I am talking about Summertime but if last year is any indication, it will be here before we know it.  Time just seems to fly by these days.

Here are the pieces I am saying good bye to for a while.

Prairie Schooler's Up on the Rooftop. I just had one house to go but rather than rush, I will take my time in finishing this piece.

Silver Creek Sampler's My Christmas List....It is one third complete.

Plum Street Sampler's Kringle and Woolard.  I am using Colour and Cotton flosses on the trees and I love the color!

I plan to get this one done next....I solemnly swear I will NEVER use this fabric again. It is cute but its is a Pain in the Neck to stitch on for more than one hour at a time. So glad I am not doing the borders.

Here are my plans for early 2018...

I will complete Foothills Farm as well. It is coming along very well.

I also wanted to share these nifty envelopes.

These are two for $! at the Dollar Tree. I am always on teh lookout for them because they are great for holding small projects. I will be placing a small project in one of these for my Car Project. It is always good to have something to stitch on when you get held up somewhere. I tend to use my Prairie Schooler Santas for the car projects as I can see the holes in the perforated paper without a magnifier.

Happy Stitching!!

Good Morning and Merry Christmas, Arlene. It's almost here!
I adore these designs you are working on. You and I have the same taste. I love those Dollar Tree envelopes. Can't wait to the completed January work. May the Lord richly bless you and Marvin at Christmas and in the new year. xo

I love your stitching and the one you're working on now is gorgeous! I can imagine how bad to try to get through those dots though. LOVE those envelopes. I'll look for them if and when I get back to that store! heehee! It won't be this week or next! Holiday hugs!

I think it is a good idea to put the Christmas away. I did that with the cardinal piece and it made all the difference in the world. I love it now, but was so tired of it at the time. I would not have enjoyed it all. I have several ornaments unfinished as well. I will come back to them in July. I am onto new things in a few days as well.

What cool envelopes you found at the Dollar Tree! I like the projects you have selected to work on for early 2018. I look forward to seeing your progress and your finishes!

Your Christmas pieces are all so cute--I'm sure it is hard to say goodbye for a while. Unlike you, if I say goodbye to a piece, I rarely go back to it. That is why I tend to just work on one project at a time. I admire you for being able to go back to them, Arlene!

Looks like you have lots of fun projects to look forward to next year--I need to do some thinking about my plans (other than my normal 12 ornaments a year plan :)

Wishing you every happiness at Christmas and all the best in 2018!

I love all of the projects you are putting away for awhile Arlene. And your new projects for 18' are fabulous as well. I always start one and finish it for the most part but I think I will start a few more at a time (something new and a change).

You have the best dollar tree. I never find things like that. But I will look.

Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas and the happiest of new years. RJ
