Christmas Gifts

I have neglected to share some of the gifts I received at Christmas.  Marvin gave me a pretty silver necklace that says Arlene in Hebrew. I have been meaning to Google my name in Hebrew to make sure I am wearing it correctly. Amelia got me a pretty necklace with an A on it. Ben and Katy got me the Lily Pulitzer day planner I had on my Amazon Wish List.  I was truly blessed with lots of nice gifts.

Another cross for the cross wall from my friend, Sharon.

Four new nativities....Left to right....Charles and Nancy gave me this pottery scene. It is made by women in a third world country. I love that aspect of this gift. The bell is from my friend, Terry. She is getting ready to move and is downsizing so she offered this sweet nativity bell to me. Next is my Nativity from Israel, from my friend, Susan. And finally the nativity that reminds me of the old time German toys. My good friend, Linda, gifted me with this one. We have been friends since we were girls at church and we are fourth cousins as we share the same Great Great Grandmother.

My mother gifted me with some spending money and I knew just what I wanted to purchase. I had my eye on this reproduction dough bowl at Yesteryear of Tennga.   It is an antique/collectibles store right on the Tennessee Georgia state line. ( Yes the town is Tennga...clever isn't it?). I hope to have some stitched pieces in the dough bowl later this year. Maybe even by Valentines Day. I love it.

One last picture of my new nativity all lit up. It is very unique and I think the lights really add to the piece.

My sisters gave me some cross stitch charts which I will share on Saturday. They always shop from my wish list at 123 Cross Stitch! Sister Kristi also made me two photo books that I will share one day soon.

You received so many lovely gifts. I especially like the dough bowl and how you decorated it. I've been looking for one for a long time, they make such a great display for cross stitch smalls. What a clever name for the town!!

Nice gifts, a sweet collection of nativities! Haven't cross stitched in several months, time to pick it up again. Happy New Year

How nice!! Your Nativities are great. I have two that I leave out all year and several ornaments that are always on the tree. Love it.
