Stitching Saturday

Time to look into the old stitching basket to see what I have been up to this week.  First I want to share a RAK( Random Act of Kindness) that I received in the mail from my friend, Linda.www.lindaslifejournal-artlady1948.blogspot.com

Linda was looking through some vintage cross stitch magazines and came across these cuties. And she sent a handwritten card that I was so happy to receive. I know these little girls will be coming out to play in the future.  That January lass is so sweet.

And forget that stitch from stash business...

A pattern from Hands on Design. I see this in a dough bowl this summer. I also picked up another snagnabbit as well as some perforated paper for Christmas ornaments I will be stitching.

I purchased this pattern because two of my favorite Floss Tube ladies are stitching it. They enabled me to take this one on. How could I resist red and green with CHRISTMAS CAROLS???

Now what have I been working on????

February Cottage was finished this week...

I am still enjoying the little clipboard frames from Hobby Lobby. Which reminds me I need to see if they have any spring colors in the spring merchandise. I may switch this one to my red frame.

Spring is here...at least here at Nanaland. I like this one but I should have moved the words down a bit. I must remember to take a picture of the piece before I sew it together. The camera never lies and I often use it for perspective.

I am so enjoying this Easter Trifle by Shepherds Bush. It will be a dough bowl pillow one day soon.
And Dr Who's Tardis Needleminder is a nice touch don't you think??

Happy Stitching Friends!!

The trifles are going to be cute. You know I made the Christmas ones and realized at the end I hadn't even put them out. Senior moment maybe or just too much going on.
I love the spring one. It looks fine. Just you being to hard on yourself.

Lovely work as always, Arlene. That Quaker Christmas Songs of the Season looks challenging to me, but very pretty.

I continue to press forward on Snow Angels, but yesterday I got out Frosty Forest and am considering starting on that too. I'm just afraid if I allow myself to be distracted, Snow Angels never will get done!

Thanks for the stitching inspiration. And how thoughtful of Linda to send you those charts!

Easter Parade is looking lovely on the blue fabric. Well done on your February Cottage and Spring pieces. Enjoy your Saturday!

I am always impressed by your projects and the vast number of talented people out there who do this kind of craft. As you know, I can't imagine myself doing it because it doesn't move fast enough for me (major area to work on). The pillow is SO cute!

I had to come back Arlene because the photos were not showing up for me yesterday. Well I love all of your choices for stitching. I'm anxious to see how you like stitching that BIG Quaker sampler. I'm almost done with one and it is alot of work but well worth it. I love the little Easter parade. I can't wait to see that one done. And your gift of old patterns is so charming...have fun with those. RJ
