I was saddened to hear that the wonderful actress, Emma Chambers, passed away last week. No details were released but to say it was of natural causes. Emma was just 53 years old and leaves behind a husband.

I first became aware of Emma because she played my favorite character on The Vicar of Dibley, a Brit Com from the 19990s.  Alice Springs Tinker was an unforgettable character, naive yet caring and always good for a laugh.  The photo above is from Alice's on air wedding to the love of her life, Hugo Horton. Anyone who includes a tribute to Dr Who on her wedding attire is okay in my book.

Good actors and actresses really do bring a lot to our lives by allowing us to escape daily cares for bit. You will be missed Emma Chambers.

Hi Arlene, I was sorry to hear this sad news too. She was a favorite of mine, I love the Britt Coms now in reruns. She was such a cutie with eyes you never forget.
I was delighted to meet you at Leslie Anne's signing. Wish we could have chatted more. We'll have to do something about that! It's storming here today so I'm planning a cozy day at home. Hope you enjoy your day........

I'm sorry that I am not familiar with her or Brit Coms, though we do watch a lot of British TV shows. It is always sad to lose an actor/actress that we really love. They come into our homes and our hearts.

I also loved this show and loved Alice! What a quirky talent she was!
