Stitching Saturday

Well again, not much stitching but lots of haul! I also purchased some fabrics for finishing up some stitched pieces so maybe next Saturday I will have some FFOs to display.

I did change March to April on the Breakfast bar.

My LNS was closed for two weeks while Marlene took a well deserved vacay. But I was there today on her first day back to kit up God Save the Queen.

I also picked up some more thread for Dorothy's Discovery by Silver Creek Samplery. I am SO enjoying this stitch I am doing for Amelia. I had a hard time putting it aside and moving on in my WIP rotation.

I am getting a head start on Christmas this year. I purchased the small sleds for my grands. I have the perforated paper and these should be a quick stitch.

Speaking of Christmas...

I have never been a Frosted Pumpkin Fan but my Floss Tube friend, Shelley Key X Stitch just completed this and it is adorable. It may become a pillow.

More of my 123Stitch happy mail.

I have also decided to try to plump up my Prairie Schooler Collection so I chose these two patterns while at Cross Stitch Peddler.

Both are printed on the old card stock which I much prefer to the flimsy reprints. I sure do wish Hoffman, who holds the rights to this brand, would change up their printing.  I have been a Prairie Schooler fan for years.

Well I did have one FFO thanks to the storm and no internet or tv, I worked on Bessie.

I found the frame at Hobby Lobby and finished it myself. It will hang over the coffee bar at Grimmwood.

So that is it for this Stitching Saturday...keep those needles humming.

You have great stitching ambitions!! I never heard of the Frosted Pumpkin designer, that will make an adorable pillow. The LHN Old Glory has been on my wish list for a long time, I love that stitch. Your Bessie is framed perfectly and will look so sweet over your coffee bar. Your April stitch is darling, I love the bunny on that one! And, more of your favorite PS patterns! You did have a fun shopping trip!

What a super post to read and view, Arlene! Great stash haul! Bessie looks wonderful in the frame you found at Hobby Lobby. If you haven't stitched sleds before, you are in for a treat. They are fun and quick to stitch and even easier to finish. Watch out though, they are addictive. Enjoy your weekend!

I am always amazed at your many projects and beautiful work. You almost have me inspired to give it a try again, but I know myself... I am not patient enough for such close tedious work. Sigh.

Susan, Thanks for noticing. I used one of Bruce's cow's for inspiration.
