MCHS Class of 73

Where did 45 years go?  Our high school class met to celebrate our 45th reunion. Out of a class of 150, here are the brave souls who made it to the festivities. We met at Venue 208 which was at one time Mullinax Ford. We ate in the old show room that once housed the latest Ford Vehicles. I am toward the back middle...look for the silver hair.  Oops...several have silver hair now. And by the way, we are Murray Country High School of Chatsworth, GA.

We sat at the table with my high school bestie, Debbie and her boyfriend, Mike.

These class members were married right after high school and are still going strong!!

Me and Debbie. We have been together through thick and thin...we were there for weddings, babies and many of life's ups and downs.

Me an my friend, Amy. We were in elementary school together and Amy's mom was our Girl Scout Leader.

Me and my friend, Lynn. She just finished a course of chemo and radiation for breast cancer. You Go Lynn!!

Another fun photo op!

What a fun night as we reconnected with old friends. I won a door prize for coming the farthest to the reunion. Out of the whole class only two of us were there from out of state...both of us from Alabama!

One of our class mates led us in singing the Alma Mater and then we sang, Bye Bye, Miss American Pie. And hey, we sounded pretty good!! Games were played....oldest member of the class, Youngest member of the class, who has the most grands, who has the most prescriptions. ( Oh my we are getting old....)  I am going to say that our class was rather cliquey back in the day. Forty five years has made us all much nicer! I am looking forward to the 50th!!

It looks like a lot of fun, Arlene! What a neat place to hold a reunion or maybe I should say what a neat place the old car dealership was turned into. My 40th is being held this fall, but I will miss out on attending as I am attending a stitching retreat. Enjoy your day!

My class was really really cliquey...hence, I haven't gone to any reunions. My 40th is in October. I graduated in 78, but we do reunions in the following fall with homecoming. I am not thinking I will go. I would actually have to let them know my address. I always find these posts interesting and they make me think. You looked great. Did Marvin go?

What fun!!! My class doesn't have reunions but perhaps that will change with our 50th coming up in 2020. There were 47 in my senior class and we have already lost 5 that I know of so our party won't be so big. Great props!!

Glad you had a good time! We had around 400 in our graduating class, so most of us were cliquey-not much of a way to know everyone. I've never gone to any of my class reunions (class of '74), but keep up with some of them on Facebook. I've gone to two of my husband's reunions (class of '72 at the crosstown rival high school). I've found I know just about as many of them as I do my own school!

Sounds like a lot of memories were made and recounted that night, Arlene! Isn't it funny to think that you and I graduated the same year with you in Georgia and me in New York?!

I see you peeking from the back in the first photograph! What a wonderful time. What did you win? Inquiring minds want to know!

Oh what fun! My 50 year reunion is this Fall but I won't be able to go. I know I will be so sad. I was very close to all of my classmates...we grew up together! I'm so glad you went and had fun. Great photos. Thanks to your sweet hubby! Hugs!

Isn't that great that 45 years has made you all much nicer!? I haven't gone to any of mine (the 50th was this year) but there are a few classmates that I do keep up with somewhat.

The color you are wearing is just perfect for you!
