Patriot's Day

A day we should hold in our hearts:

Remembering those innocent people who lost their lives by simply boarding a plane, planning vacations, visits with family and business trips.

Acknowledging the courage of the passengers on the plane in Pennsylvania who were determined evil would not win even if it cost them their lives.  Let's Roll was their battle cry.

Honoring those who rushed to the scene to help, many of whom were overcome in the falling buildings.

Saluting our leaders who lead us through the dark days after the attack. I am thankful that they rallied all Americans to come together as one and we did.

Today we can take a moment to:

Pray for the families and friends who were left behind who feel the loss to this day.

Sing God Bless America and really mean it!!

It is  a day that remains very clear in my mind and I vowed I would never forget and I have not forgotten.

Patriots Day 2018.

Arlene, I have been seeing spots on the TV about remembering 9-11. It doesn't seen that long ago really. Horrifying. People are still suffering from that terrible day. A sad one for our country, it made us stronger for awhile, then it made us all leery . Blessings, xoxo, Susie

What a tender compassionate post, Arlene. I will always be thankful for our President and First Lady at that time. Their compassion for those who were hurting will always be remembered and the way President Bush brought about unity in our country and helped us through such a tragic time in our history will always be remembered.
