It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas( At Walmart that is)

I was browsing in Walmart when I came across their Christmas shop. I must say that Walmart has stepped up its game this holiday season. They have so many pretty things at very reasonable prices.
We are going to Savannah to have Thanksgiving with the Grimm family. I was thinking that I really need to find a nice and economical hostess gift to take to my sis in law who is hosting the event and I think I came across the perfect thing.

Walmart had several cute Christmas signs that were in the $5 range. These would be pretty displayed on an Easel or as part of a vignette.

We are renting a house at the beach with my brother in law, William and his wife, Barbara.  Barbara took care of all the details of the rental so I wanted to take a gift to them as well.

I loved this one and I admit I got one for myself as well. Again $5.

I could not resist this one either.  I purchased them now as I know they will be gone soon and it is doubtful the store will restock during the Christmas season.

I also had to make a Hobby Lobby run as I needed some ribbon and rick rack for finishing some ornaments.

Everything is half price this week! Pardon the blurriness...the ribbon is wrapped in cellophane and it reflected in the camera.

I found the perfect fabric for Feliz Navidad.

And Hobby Lobby knows how to lure you in at the cash register....there was a whole shelf of mugs that were 40 % off.

I love to use these mugs to put peppermint candy canes out for guests in my home.

I am trying to put the brakes on purchasing any more Christmas decor...the struggle is real for me as I am a big kid at Christmas.

Gosh, WM has started earlier than usual this year, but as they say, the early bird gets the worm. So glad you found some special things.

I can't wait to start stitching for Christmas. I just need to finish the barn! lol And then I'm off to do some holiday patterns! I'm trying not to buy anything new this year and get rid of things I don't use any more. It's hard! Enjoy your day! (I don't go to that side of Walmart very tempting!)

I have a weakness for all things CHRISTMAS! I'm trying to stay out of the stores...I don't need anymore Christmas goodies. Love what you found at Walmart!

What wonderful finds, Arlene! I can see I am going to have to take some time and peruse the Christmas section at Walmart!

My grandmother always used the Santa mugs (and she would have loved these -- they are so cute!) on the children's table at Christmas dinner. Memories!

Ooh! Good finds! I see some shopping in my future. I too have to be careful about buying Christmas decor. Our house is not big, and I already have almost more than I have room for!

You win the prize for the best deals this week! Between Walmart and Dollor tree, you did good!

Arlene, what sweet signs! That snowman is sooo adorable!! I think we both need (horse) blinders at the registers.

What fun! I so agree, what beautiful things walmart has this year! I have been eyeing a velvet poinsettia wreath I saw the other day... hoping to go back for it soon if any are left. I love the signs you picked out, they are so cheerful and pretty, and what a great pick for the hostess gift. Your holiday plans sound wonderful, by the way.
Sounds like a nice trip to Hobby Lobby, such goodies you brought home. And how true- Hobby Lobby often gets the best of me at the cash register displays, too ;)

Have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings to you,
