Friday Five

1. Fall Colors

This week the trees suddenly exploded with color here in Decatur.  The first picture is a beautiful tree I see each time I leave the back side of my subdivision.  The pretty Maple trees are located in the Target parking lot.

2. Envy Apples

I have a new favorite apple. The Envy apple is a cross between a Braeburn and a Gala. They are so tasty!! I am afraid they are only available for a short while so I better eat up!

3.Indian Corn

I found this pretty Indian corn at Tuesday Morning. It looks great in my Thanksgiving Dough Bowl.

4. Dollar Tree Small Garbage Bags

My blog friend Whitney at, shared this hint. Instead of using store bags for liners for your small bathroom garbage cans, buy these scented ones for only a dollar at Dollar Tree. I tried it this week and I have to say they do look nicer than the Walmart or Publix bags I used to line the bins with each week. There are 50 liners in each package so this one investment should last six months. Whitney also shared that she purchases the diaper disposal bags to change out her cat litter. I don't have cats but I picked up a package to keep in the car for the inevitable messes the the Nanavan experiences.

5. My New Stress Relief

I saw this on Facebook and I did LOL. Maybe I would feel better if I just scribble scrabbled with all my might!! This reminds me of the coloring my sweet two year old students did at Central Weekday School.

Love the trees and the colors. Never heard of those apples but will be on the look for some. The Indian corn is nice...different. Hope you have a happy Friday.

Arlene, the maples have changed color here also but Fall color is pretty much a bust, this is 2 years in a row. So disappointing. I love apples and Braeburns are one of my favorites, I never heard of the Envy apple but I'll look for it. I live in Apple country! Love your corn, it looks great in your bowl, the perfect size! I am highly allergic to anything scented, but I will look to see if they have the bags without a scent. I have a cat so the tip on the diaper disposable bag is a new one that I'll try. Your coloring gave me a great laugh!!! I enjoy your Friday posts so much!!

The coloring page is hilarious! I'll save that one! And I'll look for those apples. I eat part of an apple every day and love Galas. Enjoy your day!

Will have to check those trash can liners out the next time I'm at the dollar store. The trees are gorgeous; ours are really dull this year although there are a few bits of vividness. Another apple fan here so will have to look for those Envy apples. Enjoy your day!

We've started to see some color here in North Texas. November is really our prettiest month here.

Such pretty foliage on your trees! I have noticed that the small trees in our Walmart parking lot are very colorful, much like the ones you showed at Target.

I purchased a new apple variety this week -- Autumn Glory. It is said to have a hint of cinnamon and caramel flavor. We will see!

Wonderful Fives, Arlene! I am curious about the bags from Dollar Tree. Is the scent terribly strong?

I've not heard of Envy apples before. I will look for them. Love the fall colors!

The coloring book image definitely made me lough out loud, too! That's too funny, and perhaps accurate for many, haha ;)
So much fall wonder. Wow, the trees are truly bursting with color and so brightly. ...I am wondering if our state has the Envy apply as I haven't heard of it- I am curious now and really want to try it :)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and are doing very well!!

Thanks for sharing my blog! I'm going to look for the scented ones you showed - the bags I bought were only 35 count! :)
