My Target Finds

I have been skulking around Target, just waiting for the Christmas items to appear in the dollar spot.  Today was the DAY. I had to push past some other people to get to the goodies.

I found these for my Christmas dough bowl. I had purchases some strings of lights at Dollar Tree and I will find a way to use them in my Christmas vignettes. You can never have too many twinkle lights during the dark days of December.

Only five dollars and perfect for the living room.

I picked up this snow as well...only a dollar. Another crafter shared that the styrofoam snow tends to stick to the  glass ornaments.  I am going to experiment to see which fake snow works best.

Embellishments....never can have too many of these if you like to craft.

I had to make a Hallmark run and I received this as a free gift. Isn't it pretty and perfect to keep in my purse.

Back to Target...

All of the fall things were on clearance and  I picked up these cookie cutters for 30 cents.

We are going to my sis in law's home for Thanksgiving and she asked me to make some cookies. These will be perfect for making some seasonal iced cookies. ( And if you craft, cookie cutters are good templates for cutting out felt etc.).

It is voting day here in America. I will be doing my civic duty  by going to the polls. As I vote I will also be saying a prayer for our great country....God Bless America, Land that I Love.

You got some goodies. But, you stopped me at the date book. I loved those back in high school. My entire life was in those little squares. I didn't know they still made those. Was my life that simple that everything fit in those little squares? I have a big old planner these days.

Thanks for the heads up on the Target finds, Arlene! When I was in there last week, most of the fall stuff had been cleared out and the boxes of Christmas were waiting to be unpacked. I can't remember where I saw it, but someone had stitched tiny designs on perforated paper and hung them from the center of cookie cutters to create ornaments.

You scored some goodies! We no longer have a Target here. For some reason it just didn't take off so they closed all the stores. Those date books are great, aren't they? Your cookies will be perfect for Thanksgiving! Have a wonderful day!

Oh, my! My Amber loves Target! I’m going over there tomorrow to spend the day and we will probably go there! But you know what? I might need to go to the one here in Irving today so I can check out the clearance on fall! And I thank you for mention of your dough bowl. I bought one at Magnolia in the spring and have forgotten about it! I need to use that for Christmas!

Arlene.. I think we would be very dangerous together in Target.
There is very little that I can so no to in that wonderland of a store. Have a good week.

I think I'm actually very thankful that the nearest Target is an hour or so away. That way I can't spend money there! Can't even tell you the last time I was in a Target. Think it's been probably close to ten years.

Love the things you found, though.

And that datebook ... did you realize Hallmark was even giving those away back in the early 1950s? I've found one from 1952 that will go in my Etsy shop, along with some newer ones. I have one datebook by American Greetings also, I think.

Great finds!! Target isn't too far from us but we rarely stop in. Not sure why. Just off the radar. I voted early, by mail. Praying for the USA daily!

Arlene, oh I need a Target close by! There are rumors that the Kmart in the next county might become a Target. I hope so! Love all your finds and wow great autumn cookie cutters price. $$$
