Spa Bath

Well as I believe I mentioned here, Nanaland needs some freshening up after almost ten years of being home to Nana and Grandpa. New readers may not know that the name Nanaland was Kendall's idea. We moved here when she was almost three years old. She was rather confused that we were not living in our old house in Point Mallard. But she told her mommy that she wanted to go to Nanaland, trusting that her mommy would get her to the right location. I decided to use that as the title of my blog.

Our guest bathroom has not had a change in all that time so I decided it was time to get a new shower curtain, new towels and accessories.  Since my guest room is right next door and I have gone with a more neutral theme there, I decided the bathroom should be neutral as well. This totally goes against my love of color but.....

We did not paint as the walls are a light beige and in good shape.  This bathroom tends to be dark as there are no windows on this interior room.  The only downfall to living in a middle town home is the lack of windows and sunlight.

I found the shower curtain and towels at Ross.

I love the tray that I found at TJMaxx. I added a lovely candle as well as some faux pears in a unique glass container. I had the pears on hand and the container was a TJ Maxx find.  The little succulent came from the Target Dollar Spot last year.  It is so nice to be able to pick everything up on the tray...move it out of the way to clean and then put it back in place.  I ordered some Caldrea hand soap to add to the sink area. The Ginger Pomelo scent is one of my favorites.

I have always loved this small oil canvas and it looks nice over the towel rack. I added my beige linen hand towel because you need something with a monogram. This is the south and we love to mark our things with our initials.

So one thing is marked off my list for this year and it is only January 7th!

The 'facelift' in the guest bathroom is lovely!! It looks bright and fresh! The pears are a nice touch! Isn't it fun when you can pull things together that you already have for such a nice touch?! I love the name Nanaland!

This is just beautiful, Arlene! How wonderful to have accomplished this already, only a little way into January! Many of our rooms need refreshing and updating but I think they will become retirement projects.
