Saturday Stitching

Tuesday evening was Market Night at the Cross Stitch Peddler. Marlene hosts a special evening event for all her customers to come out and see the goodies she picked up at Market in Nashville.

Even though it was cold the ladies were outside awaiting six pm.

Marlene made us wait unlit six on the dot!!

We could see the goodies on the table. In years past Marlene would cover the table with a sheet until we entered the store. With the advent of Floss Tube, we all know what the designers are showing at the needlework market now.  We get glimpses of the new charts on Floss Tube and on Instagram.

Here is the bag I came home with!

We got lots of free patterns in our goodie bags along with this market freebie from Hands on Design. It is part of the Scary Apothecary release. I am sure it will be available as a free chart to all the needlework stores soon.

Free Flosses, candy and a little leather bag perfect for taking along a needle minder.

And here is what I purchased...

Another Brenda Gervais....I plan to stitch the top cushion. Ms Gervais is becoming one of my favorite designers.

I had to have the Bunny.

My preorder from Teresa...Shakepeare's Peddler

These are not new releases but I plan to do the Where's the Party as Hampton's Christmas ornament this year.  The Farm Sampler will go to Grimmwood.

This is a nice cookbook filled with charts as well. Many designers contributed to the publication.

One of my friends remarked that she loved Market Night but her pocketbook did not.:) I stayed within my budget so I am proud of me!!

It looks like you away with a some nice charts and goodies, Arlene. I really like the patriotic chart pack you picked up. What a cool bag! Would love more details on it! Have a super Saturday!

I am sure with all the new items it would be hard to not buy way too much. I love the Spells and Charms but not for a Halloween idea but as a cute classroom idea. It would be cute with bright colors and a teacher's name instead of Spells and Charms.

How fun! Brenda Gervais is becoming one of my favorite designers as well. Love that bottom pattern on Where Liberty Dwells as well. Of course I love almost anything with a little house!

Hooray for you, Arlene for staying within your budget. You did end up with some super sweet needlepoint kits/patterns. You will have them done in no time at all!

I can't tell you how envious I am that you have a local needlework shop! It must have been such fun to see all of the new designs in person :) Enjoy your choices--that WTNT bunny is definitely on my list :)
