Happy Mail

Monday was happy mail day at Nanaland.

My daughter in law, Nancy, works for LG in Alpharetta, Georgia. Recently the company handed out these magnets regarding Autism Awareness. Aunt Nancy made sure we all got one in honor of our spectrum boy, Baylor.  I am glad to remind people that Autism is affecting more and more children in America. Be on the look out for families dealing with this mysterious syndrome.  A work of encouragement or just a smile can do much to make these families feel your support.

And I got my fabric, pattern and flosses for baby Joshua's birth sampler.

This is Belfast Linen in Vintage Sahara...32 count. I will be stitching two over one.

In the Korean culture the family celebrates the baby's 100th day of living, which in Joshua's case will be sometime in August I suppose. I have not counted it But Nana hopes to make the needles fly and get this stitched and framed in time for the big party for our new grandson.

Autism does seem to be so much more prevalent these days but I wonder if it just went undiagnosed in years past. Great strides are being made and so many are going on to live productive lives. Baylor is always on my prayer list. I look forward to seeing your finished sampler for Joshua's 100-day celebration!

What a beautiful design you have picked for Joshua's sampler! I am here cheering you on for a finish by his 100 day. Thinking of Baylor and praying for him as he continues to make strides in his life.

Looking forward to seeing your progress on the sampler, Arlene. I agree - a package in the mail from 123stitch is a happy mail day indeed! Sending thoughts of love and support to you and yours. I think it's wonderful that we are all more aware of autism.

Arlene, I will be on the lookout for anyone with a pin like this. Love the puzzle pieces on it! Beautiful sampler for the baby. Love the name! My son's name is Joshua.
