Saturday Stitching

I had a productive week in the stitching arena.  I am getting close to completing My Christmas List by Silver Creek Samplers.

Pardon the wrinkles. I work on this one when I am at Grimmwood.  I am not sure how I will finish it. I am leaning to having it framed.

I had two finishes this week.

Scissors by Shakespeare's Peddler.  See the little scissors charm that was a gift from a special stitching friend.

I used these spools to finish my piece. You can find them at Hobby Lobby. I took some of the fabric I used for the backing to wind around the spools. I stitched Scissors with Cupid...my favorite red.

I added these cute charms to my Teacups finish. I found the silver tray, tea pot, creamer and sugar bowl in the miniatures section at Hobby Lobby.

I am pretty proud of these three stitches. Right now they live on the tea cart.

I also completed Brenda Gervais's July 4th Hoopla.

I stitched it on a piece of Gold 36 count fabric I had in my stash.  I found the little drawer at Hobby Lobby.

Here is a close up....I just finished it like a Christmas ornament with no hanger attached. This way I can use it in several different ways. I had some extra homespun so I used it to add some interest to the drawer.  This  chart is going to be taking a trip to another stitching friend. Passing the stash.

One piece of haul...

I told you I needed to stay away from ETSY.:) Happy Stitching.

You have outdone yourself lately with these finishes. Your little patriotic corner is so cute. I really need to finish Lady Liberty. She is started, but I think she is going to have to be on tap for next year's patriotic season. I think I will stitch the July 4th this year. I just love your little finishes on the Shakespeare's Peddler things. I love your list too. Just all so cute.

Beautiful finishes you have here! I love, love, love those three little cushions on the tea cart... They are so cozy and beautiful. And the Little Women needle miner has me fangirl-squealing! It's one of my favorite books and to combine it with cross stitching is just wonderful. Enjoy it all :)

I always look forward to your Saturday posts, Arlene! The finishes you've shared this week are all darling--love the little spools. I have used them in several of my finishes, too and think they are just the cutest. Your Holiday Hoopla Uncle Sam is adorable resting in the little drawer. I really need to get that chart--the series so far is adorable and they look like they stitch up fairly quickly. Hope this week is another productive one for you :)
