Audrey is Back to School

Well it is back to school time here in the Sunny South. My hometown schools do not start until after Labor Day. They have added an extra 15 minutes at the beginning of the day and an extra 15 minutes at the end of the day so they do not have to start school in the dog days of August. They have found it saves a lot of money and wear and tear on the buses. Why other schools do not follow their example I do not know.  Audrey is at the same preschool/daycare that she attended last year but now she is a big kid. She informed Charles that she did not want to be "walked in" as that was for three year olds.:) Poor Daddy.

She looks so cute in her red!!

Purple and Pink are her favorite colors. Doc McStuffins and Daniel Tiger are still her favorites on tv. Her favorite food is French Fries...hey mine too!!

Nancy shared these side  by side pictures so we can see how she has grown.

Oh my, now Nana is getting teary!!

Stay tuned for the photos of the other Grimmlins as they go back to school later this week.

Audrey is adorable. I love the side by side shots of her; you can really see her growth and maturity. School begins on the 13th here. Teachers and staff return this week. While I miss the kids, I don't miss the endless paperwork and meetings. Enjoy your day, Arlene!

Audrey is so cute and what a difference a year makes! Your hometown schools have come up with a brilliant fix! Others should follow suit!

Oh my goodness...how she has grown and is such a big girl.
Poor Charles....that is hard when they think they are too big for daddy to walk in with.

Such cute pics! Our youngest grand daughter started Kindergarten last year. We were worried about it as she said she didn't want to go... and is a bit hyper-active (on the go all the time). We worried that she wouldn't sit still in class. Well, we were wrong. She loves it and does very well. It has been very good for her. Hope Audrey loves it too!

She is really growing up! Hard not to get a little teary eyed when they start to lose their "baby look". All of our grands seem to have gotten taller overnight!

Oh Audrey - she is just so cute!
Our schools have also followed the no school until after labor day, but this year it's changed and lots of people aren't happy.

It's fun to see how much Audrey has matured in her looks from last year. And, yes, poor Daddy. Thanks for sharing, Arlene.

And, I am with you on other school districts taking to the idea that your hometown does. That is a great idea in my opinion. Not only for the students but also for the teachers!

I just love Audrey. She is beyond adorable...that face is precious. I loved how she told her Daddy she was too big to be walked in but it must have broke Charles's heart.

I love the side by side too. She really has grown alot. Growing up we always went back to school the first Monday after labor day. I loved it because my birthday is September 1st and that way I was still home for summer for my birthday. But, I always loved going back and seeing friends. RJ
