I did a good bit of Jolly July Stitching with Priscilla, Chelsea and The Fat Quarter Shop. So as the month dwindled to an end, I decided to get some finishing done as well. Now I can store these and they will be ready for Thanksgiving when I hand out the Grands Yearly Ornaments. I do still need to stitch one for Audrey and Joshua but that should not take too long! I was excited to see that I won a giveaway from Carol at Stitching Dreams. I may stitch that cute snow man for Joshua. Thank you Carol for your generosity. Check out Carol's lovely stitching and finishing. Plus we can arm chair travel with her as she enjoys retirement.
Here is Hampton's ornament....Lizzie Kate Designs.
I did not embellish this one much as you all know teenage boys...they are minimalists.
Here is Landon's....Lizzie Kate.
Margaret's is Lizzie Kate...
I really liked this one. I might have to make a similar one for myself.
Here is Baylor's....Heart in Hand.
Finally, Elliott's Lizzie Kate.
I did finish two for myself... Country Cottage Needleworks
I love this one...I used moss and small ornaments purchased at Hobby Lobby. I hope the oss holds up!
Are they perfect??? No....I ascribe to the Amish philosophy that only God is perfect. Every time I finish something, I find new ways of doing things. And seen from a distance hung on a tree, they look pretty good. Even crafters need to learn to extend some grace to themselves.
I finally found this cute free chart online so I am sharing it with yall. Thank you to Diana at Itiskismet Stitches and Michelle, Bendy Stitchy for sharing this cute saying from Misterogers. You all know I love me some Fred Rogers. I plan to stitch this for some special people and make tiny pillows so that they can put them somewhere in view so that they are reminded I Like Them!! ( Diana and Michelle are Floss Tubers.) If you watch Stephanie at Lindy Stitches, you will see that she received a tiny pillow with this saying from another stitchy friend. It was so cute.
Now I am on to some fall stitching. I may do a WIP parade next Saturday. I had whittled my pile to three things before starting fall projects. My stitchy box is filling up again!
