Saturday Stitching

Well I promised you a WIP parade today and here it is!!

First I have to share a picture of my waxers I placed in a jar by my stitching spot.

I think the top needs Maybe some spray paint to hid the pimento info. But these little pimento jars are perfect for holding buttons, beads etc.  Strike up the band...time for a parade.

1, Brunch at Buttonwood Farm  I started this on March 19th and it is almost done. I really need to finish it up.  I just used some blue aida I had in my stash for this stitch.

2. Yuletide at Thistle Hill...stitched on 32 count crystal relic. This might be a new favorite fabric for me. I just love it. This stitch was started on March sister, Kristi's birthday.

3. Prairie Schooler Weatherwise...I started this one on June 9 and it is stitched on 28 count Cashel...Country Mocha.  I am leaving off the words and just stitching the harbor scene.

4.Hocus Pocus Halloween  stitched on 28 count coffee tea dyed even weave.  This was started on July 30th.

5.The Cat and the Moon. stitched on white 28 count lugana. Also started on July 30th. I must have been bored.  I purchased this chart at The Shepherds Needle. Mary found it for me. I was inspired by Priscilla's stitch of this chart. She named it Calvin after her bad cat. :) I am changing the hat colors from lime green and white to lime green and purple.

6. Rileys Harbor stitched on 32 count Veldt by Picture this Plus.  July 31st

7. Boo to You stitched on 32 count Peoria Purple started Aug 1st.

8.Halloween Hoopla stitched on 32 count Stormy Night Lugana

9.Halloween House stitched on 28 count ivory Lugana....Aug 5th

10.Pumpkin Hollow Farm  28 count vintage country mocha cashel. I am changing th house to blue and I am only doing the top half ala Chelsea and Priscilla.  August 2

11.October Word Play  14 count coffee tea dyed aida from my stash. Started on August 3rd.

12.Put on the Hat...starting today!  Stitched on 32 count vintage Stormy night lugana.

So it looks like it is Autumnal August at my house!

I also received my Colour and Cotton order this week.

Very pretty colors this month and more variegated than usual.

Some things you might notice from my parade. I am doing smaller pieces that I can finish easily. Rileys Harbor is my only really big piece.  And if I have my choice, I will choose Lugana every time. Thanks to one of my stitchy friends at North Alabama Stitchers, I have a good bit of 14 count aida that was gifted to me. I did a lot of coffee tea dying this week. I am finding that I really like Aida for my Prairie Schooler pieces. I am considering doing a Very Prairie Year in 2020. Thanks to Mistie Purcell and friends for that idea.  I will go through my PS charts and choose something Prairie to stitch each month. Let me know if you would like to join in. Mistie and Helen D have really inspired me with their Prairie Schooler stitching this year.  Of all the designers, Prairie Schooler is still my favorite.

All look good or will when finished, but #7 is my favorite.

I love PS on the Aida. I think many of the older patterns just look best on Aida. They were designed with that in mind I suppose. There is not one singe thing on here that I don't just love. Loved seeing the progress.

Beautiful... just beautiful. I love looking at your work. I am now a 16 count Aida girl... anything smaller and the old eyes cant cope.. and 32 count makes me cross eyed...sigh
Happy Stitching

Oh Arlene! I enjoyed seeing your WIPs parade. Thank you for sharing them along with the changes you are making. I really like that Stormy Night lugana you featured on a couple of your pieces. Hmmm, a Prairie Year sounds like a super idea for 2020. I will have to mull on that for a bit. Enjoy your Saturday!

Wow, you're one busy stitcher! Best wishes on finishing up; I know I get a great feeling of accomplishment when a project is finished.

Amazing projects you are working on, Arlene. The cat and the moon, of course, is my favorite! Have a fun weekend.

Love seeing your WIPs! I'm starting some fall stitching myself. I've gone to smaller pieces also-I just don't have the desire to stitch a big piece anymore. They take me forever and there are so many other things I want to stitch!

All of that stitching talk means nothing to me but your projects are great and I'll look forward to seeing them finished!

I don't know how you keep them all straight. When I did this, I did one project at a time. :) I love Rileys Harbor!

You have so many wonderful projects underway, Arlene! I just purchased (ordered as we have no LNS within hours!) Yuletide At Thistle Hill today. I just love it as it reminds me of a PS pattern :) I seem to always have a PS piece going even if it is just a Santa--can't get enough of them!

Enjoy your coming week!
